    Quality product at a competitive price; however, you must go through the main menu to select TV viewing each time unit it powered on. Other units, i.e., Denon and Yamaha remember the last selection upon powering up. I returned the Sony for this reason.

    This receiver met all my needs and got it at a great sales price. Plan to upgrade speakers soon to KLIPSCH as I am currently using 20 yrd old Boston. AN1000 pushes them quite nicely and the on-screen menu is easy to use and calibrate sounds

    A little complicated (of you’re old school amp) but seems to be functioning properly. Lots of audio options that will eventually bring joy?

    Was very bright sounding with my Klipsch speakers Gaming was very good with the receiver until it went out in 5 days of purchase I took it back & upgraded to an Onkyo I have a large front room 24x14 & the remote does not work that far Had to get up every time I used it Did not like it at all

    Came in excellent, nearly unopened condition with all accessories and cables. I have had no issues to this point setting up with my home theater system.

    Fantastic receiver did an excellent job correcting for my awkwardly shaped theater room, though due to weird glitch where the 360ssm system wouldnt work after the firmware update i had to do a reset have had no issues since

  • Buyer Beware Open Box Online

    Ordered a Sony str-an1000 receiver that was listed as an open box excellent condition, no scratches, no smudges, etc. well when I received it in the correct box stating that it was what I ordered. What I actually received was an STR-DN790 with some scratches & smudges. After going back online & jumping through all the hoops to get someone to correct this issue, I talked to a gal that stated that she was sorry that this had happened & that she would send a call tag to return the incorrect receiver & would send me a replacement as the one I had ordered right away. 2 days later no call tag sent & no replacement receiver either. Next day back to online chat & all the hoops, only to be told that there was not a replacement available & was directed to take the receiver back to my Best Buy store for a refund. No offer for a discount off of a new one to correct the issue from either online or store I returned it to. Supposedly open items are checked out by Best Buy when open box & before listing condition. Terrible customer service, that they would not even attempt to make this right with a customer that has been purchasing from them for over 35 years. Buyer beware on open box!

    Hard pop when it turns on and no streaming servjce kept it from the 5th star. Other than that, it does its job.

    Replaced my Yamaha aventage 1080 with the Sony str an 1000 . I love the Yamaha but it was time to update and I couldn’t be happier the clarity was top notch for the price .
