Easy to setup, great audio quality. It is a nice fit to my Jamo speakers. Great with the Xbox Series X with dolby atmos and 4k/120Hz. Could have a phono preamp.

I upgraded my old 1080p Sony system, and the difference is incredible—it's like night and day, all while using the same speakers. I highly recommend this system to anyone with an older sound setup who wants to experience Dolby Atmos and 8K visuals. With my 5.1 speaker arrangement, the sound now wholly surrounds me. My living room doesn't have a bad seat; it sounds excellent from every spot.

This was definitely an upgrade for my home theatre. Alot of power and easy to set up.

I have this hooked up to my PS5 and my X90K TV. It sounds so good that my friend who helped my juggle TVs and receivers was blown away by the sound check during the initial setup. ATMOS sounds amazing. Gaming is even more enjoyable when you can hear the guys trying to sneak up behind you. The On-screen display is very handy. The Auto-cal with the included microphone works so good that I didn't need to tweak anything like my last receiver.

Love the av receiver and the surround sound! Lots of functionality.

This livens up my living room and brings you into the video game or movie. I feel like I am in my own personal movie theater thanks to this and the OLED TV I purchased from Best Buy.

Atmos....wow! The sound from this thing is amazing! Everything is crystal clear, the sound imaging is unreal, and it was an easy setup. Calibration was easy with the included calibration mic.

This is an amazing receiver, with outstanding sound quality and it is EZ to operate.

Fantastic system for the price. We originally had an Atmis soundbar, but we were not impressed with the surround, even with wireless surround speakers. This was only a little more (we had our front speakers from the old setup), with much better sound spatialization. Even better, we can add additional side or top surrounds and it doesn't block the bottom of the TV like the soundbar did. One con, the connection to the wireless surrounds sometimes gets a little choppy (seems like other Bluetooth devices interfere), but this is easily resolved with recalibration in the system, and the system recognizes when the connection is bad and will suggest recalibration.

I purchased the Sony STR-AN1000 last September, and it has been a fantastic addition to my home theater. I use it with my Sony TV, and I’m really impressed with the overall performance. What stands out the most is the audio cable connection between the receiver and the TV, which noticeably enhances the clarity of movie dialogues, making them louder and easier to understand. Overall, I’m very satisfied with this purchase!

This Sony receiver is awesome and is better than the Denon that it replaced. Great for the price point.

Excellent receiver. I connected my 4 Sonance in-ceiling speakers and the sound quality is amazing! I also connected my 800w Rocker Shaker Subwoofer, and sounds great. I wasnt sure what port to connected to since the receiver doesn't have a "subwoofer" indication, so I connected it to "center", seems to be working great though.

This is an excellent amplifier. For me, it's a welcome improvement over 790. This is not to imply the 790 was not good. It's not on the same level is all. The extra watts per channel and set-up provides a much better listing environment. Especially when connected to the sony 7.2 system using two subs moves are amazing.

So far it’s been working great. Sound is excellent. Very easy to set up. Some annoying features that you can’t disable like the start up screen that ask what you want to do. But overall it’s excellent

Unbelievable how easy this receiver is to set up. I have two front speakers, two mid speakers, and two rear speakers set up with banana plugs. I also have two Xbox consoles and a Nintendo Switch hooked up. The ethernet port is a great addition so you can bring up the menu on the TV to set everything up. After I hooked up the receiver, it wanted to do an update to the system which worked flawlessly. if you have any doubts, go on YouTube and watch some videos, you will not be disappointed. I highly recommend.

2nd A\V Receiver from Sony. It has exceeded all of my expectations. Set up takes patience, but it is worth it. It is the Brains for all My New Sony Gear: X90L TV, SA-SW5 SubWoofer, Elevation Atmos Speakers, Core Series 5" 3-Way Speakers, Core Series 4" 2-Way Center-Channel Speaker, SA -RS5 Wireless Rear Speakers, UBP-X800M2 4K Player, and Stereo BT Turntable. They all play very well together. The only complaint will be from the Neighbors!!!

This is a very nice receiver which has a lot of input options and I needed to use those and so I purchased this receiver and it was a good swap for another receiver which I am going to use upstairs. The receiver is pretty easy to use and so is the remote control. The receiver also has mute and a digital volume and can be turned down and even muted such that the receiver can be turned on in order to be used as a passthrough communication device. I use headphones a lot and so that is very important feature. The receiver takes what seems about 30 seconds to turn on when the system is powered on from a switched conditioner power. Thank you for the receiver Sony and Best Buy.

Bought this to pair with my Sony Bravia x90L. The receiver sounds pretty good when watching movies, I am using a 5.0 setup in my living room. I'd give it 4 stars for movie watching. I didn't like the user interface, its ok but not very user friendly. Music listening wasn't that great, i wasn't using any EQ for movies or music. Movies sound good but in stereo mode the treble was very bright, too bright, and the bass was very flat. This can kind of be fixed by adjusting EQ, but its not convenient to have to adjust the EQ every time i want to switch between Stereo and Surround Sound modes. I know some people like the "Sony" sound, but its not for me. Also the "click" when turning on the amp is kind of loud. Also i couldnt figure out how to stop the amp turning on every time i turn on the TV, i dont need the amp for normal TV watching. Anyway long story short, i exchanged this for a Denon x1800h. I am much happier now. Movies sound great. Music is awesome in stereo. It doesn't turn on every time i turn my TV on unless i want it too. And it was virtually the same price. I thought i would get a Sony AVR to match my Bravia, but i should have known better considering i have a higher model Denon already in my home theater that i am very happy with also.

POWERFUL ,UNIQICE SOUND, NOT TO BIG FOR MY ENTERTAMENT CENTER ,ATOMOS IS AWESOME, SONY MAKE THE BEST SURROUND SOUNDS BY FAR AS WELL AS TELEVISIONS
