Good receiver, annoying that all the web app functionality for streaming services run through your phone or whatever other device you are using. Sound quality is good, remote control and app are terrible.

Just remember to set your tower speakers to "small" if you want the bass to kick. Had to Google that for mine to work. The dual HDMIs work great also. I have a large tv to the main and a projector to the second HDMI connection.

The sound has been IN-CREDIBLE!!!!! After a terrible start by BB, I am extremely pleased with this purchase. Can only give 4 Stars because I haven’t full gotten to explore all of the features - a follow up review in a few months to come.

Best Buy quit offering the Pioneer brand. I was considering Denon until I saw this Sony. I'm happy with this purchase. Quite easy to set up.

Great 4k audio/video

Owned for 8 months when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Replaced an old Pioneer Elite 5.1 receiver with this so we could have 4k for our Bravia TV and PS5. This receiver also can detect/sync other Sony devices plugged into it so that they all turn on/off together and will switch component input automatically. It will also detect my satellite receiver if I turn it on first (still have to use that remote). However it does take several seconds to detect the sat box has powered on before it turns on the receiver, then turns on TV, Sat audio is heard, finally video input switches from main Google TV screen to the Sat TV video. Also, switching from a built-in streaming app to another component like the Sat TV, requires multiple button presses/scrolling to get there. You press Input, select Watch or Listen, scroll to the component you want, then Enter. Going back to streaming is a little easier. You press the Apps button, scroll to the app, then Enter.
