I actually run my stage piano through this amp and get better results that with my powered monitor. Very happy with purchase--I might buy another.

Some things are better, but it is lacking in features my old unit, though. Plain, basic display not visually appealing. But it functions well. It just doesn't show what it's doing with much flair, as my old one did.

I must say that it's more of a basic model that does the job. It doesn't have the power or fuller sound of my old receiver. Also, I had to return the new Sony receiver back to Best Buy because it stopped working after 14 days! I got the same model to replace the defective one. It's a satisfactory receiver, though it is not a high end model.
