I won't be using the receiver but it's presence doesn't bother me.

I can play a song from my phone and the receiver will turn on automatically. We liked it so much, we purchased another one for our screen porch

Nice receiver!

It only has a unique style plug to use with the basic thin wire antenna that comes with the unit. No coax plug or screw terminal plugs.

First was to connect outside speakers, inside, xm, etc. This is for smart TVs, surround, xm, etc in lower level. Only complaint is that my speakers.don’t appear to have the same power. Could just be me. Stuck in the old Pioneer receiver days.

This receiver is a quality item

I was not told by my salesman that I needed one. So it was an inconvenience to have to make another trip to Best Buy and purchase it before I could have the speakers installed.

After so many years different things no longer worked properly so broke down and replaced it. I did it on line and in a few days it was at my door. I now enjoy listening to the large collection of albums I have.

Disappointed in sound.

I finally replaced my old receiver with this one and I got to say I'm not very impressed with the overall sound compared to my old unit. The highs are very weak especially listening to classical music and it's not the speakers, they sounded great with the old receiver. It seems there's not enough control of bass & treble. It's overly complicated for any adjustments. I'm not happy at all.

Posted .Hi Disappointing, thank you for purchasing our product. We're sorry to hear that you have an issue with your SONY unit. You can enjoy higher-fidelity sound from all inputs using the Pure Direct function. When the Pure Direct function is on, the display panel lights off to suppress noise that affects sound quality. (Press PURE DIRECT using the supplied remote). Bass and treble do not work when the Pure Direct function is selected. You can adjust BASS and TREBLE using the supplied remote from –10 dB to +10 dB in 1 dB step.

I'm convinced to go all Sony with future component purchases through Best Buy. Next up will be 5.2; then their turntable. After two Sony 65" TV's, it makes sense.

Needs sub output and screw in F antenna connector

Otherwise doing what I needed. Bought $35 speaker to line level adapter, rigged the antenna connection with a direct coax wire and cable tie strap.

If your subwoofer supports IN and OUT speaker wire connection. Then you can connect the left and right speaker wires from the stereo receiver into the left and right speaker IN on the subwoofer. Well made, but no outs for Sub bass

We had to return this one and paid almost double for the next upgraded Sony with the 4k so he could hook up all his speakers and have subs or Bass or whatever its called.

I was able to plug in all my ((old components but still have not tried them all. So fare, so good.
