Thank you for your review. We are really sorry if the loudness of our STRDH190 didn't live up to your expectations. Because input sources vary in the quality, type, and strength of the signal being received, it is normal for the overall volume to differ from input source to input source. We are not sure what source are you playing on your STRDH190, however, you may try adjusting the tonal balance of the connected speakers by pressing the TREBLE & BASS buttons on the supplied remote control of this receiver to isolate the problem.

Posted .Hi MMSS, Thank you for the feedback on your experience with your Sony STRDH190 receiver. And we're sorry to hear you're having an issue with the Bluetooth connectivity with your phone. If Bluetooth pairing cannot be done, please follow the troubleshooting steps below:
Move the BLUETOOTH device closer to
the receiver (within 1 meter (3.3 feet) of
the receiver).
Pairing may not be possible if there are
other BLUETOOTH devices near the
receiver. In this case, turn off the other
BLUETOOTH devices.
Press BLUETOOTH PAIRING.
“PAIRING” flashes on the display
panel.
Select “STR-DH190” on your phone's display.

It DOES NOT work with these speakers. Your employee misrepresented this product

"Open Box - Excellent " was DOA and damaged

Full retail is 149.99; I opted for an "Open Box - Excellent" model for $122. "Open Box - Excellent " is defined as: "Products in Excellent condition look brand new — with no physical flaws, scratches or scuffs — and include all original parts" Well, let's see. No physical flaws, scratches or scuffs? Nope - has a big ol' dent on the upper back left corner. Includes all original parts? Nope - the FM antenna and instruction manual are missing. And as a bonus, it is Dead On Arrival - it won't even power up. I will be returning this piece of junk as soon as Best Buy opens later this morning.

In order to hear music from my IPhone via bluetooth connection the receiver volume has to be turned to max volume. Very disappointing for a Sony product.
