Bluetooth Doesn't Work

We regret to hear that the Bluetooth function of the receiver is not working. Make sure to follow these steps when pairing a Bluetooth device to the receiver:
1. Place the Bluetooth device within 1 meter (3.3 feet) of the receiver.
2. Press BLUETOOTH PAIRING on the remote. “PAIRING” flashes on the display panel. Perform step 3 within five minutes, otherwise pairing will be canceled. If pairing is canceled, repeat this step.
3. Perform pairing on the Bluetooth device to detect the receiver. For details, refer to the operating instructions of your Bluetooth device.
4. Select “STR-DH190” on the Bluetooth device display.
5. Start playback on the Bluetooth device.
6. Adjust the volume.
If you are trying to listen to a paired Bluetooth device, please refer to these steps:
1. Turn on the Bluetooth function of the Bluetooth device.
2. Press BLUETOOTH on the remote. The receiver connects to the last connected Bluetooth device and the device name appears on the display panel.
3. Start playback on the Bluetooth device.
4. Adjust the volume.

If still not resolved, reset the receiver to factory settings. Please refer to the steps below:
1. Press (power) to turn off the receiver.
2. Press and hold (power) for 5 seconds. “CLEARING” appears on the display panel during initialization. When initialization is complete, “CLEARED ” appears on the display panel.
Note: It takes a few seconds for the memory to be cleared completely. Do not turn the receiver off until “CLEARED ” appears on the display panel.

Not happy with open box Sony receiver

This unit only used in garage when outside (maybe on weekends). quit working sent to NY for repair, gone for several weeks. worked when returned , now being used this spring, worked for about 2-3 times and died again....... 2 months after warranty exp. only advice is to RUN from sony products.

Unfortunately, this unit only supports 2 channel stereo which means connecting a subwoofer is not an option. We suggest checking out our other AV receivers such as the STRDH590, STRDH790, or STRDN1080 models. Hope this helps. -Sam
New unit would not power up

We bought him a record player (which worked great) and this receiver. The receiver did not power up out of the box. This brand new unit was DOA. The price was right.

Junk right out of the box

Would not even power on, who checked that before sending it out? Would not send replacement at all, send it back for refund was only option. I just wanted a replacement, would that be so hard? Bought another once elsewhere. Poor customer service in my opinion.

Power it on, nothing happens, shuts down in ten seconds.. Disconnected speakers and tried to power on, same thing. Dug up my porch Techinics sa go-170, added a unify bluetooth, awesome.. Needles to say this Sony is going back to Erie.My technics is 25 years old and still rocks and also does the new/old phono, and you can even have an added equalizer,,,!,

No display, no sound, nothing. Waste of time and money. Will be returning.
