I can’t really compare with other stuff and am just providing a review in the hope that it will get Best Buy to stop asking me to do so. Stars are meaningless

You cannot go wrong with this Sony receiver if you're looking for good 2-channel sound. A lot of features are built into this unit. Read reviews online and watch multiple YouTube videos as well.

Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I am surprised at how hard it is to find a receiver with phonograph inputs, so I was surprised to find this one and at this low price with a high rating. The only negative about this Sony receiver is that speaker connecters they are small and cheap. Other than that, I like the A-B speaker buttons so I can put the music outside if I want to listen there.

A little disappointed that the bluetooth does not pair with wireless headphones and I had connect a bluetooth transmitter to the headphone output to use my headphones. Not too bad a receiver for the price.

Real Stereo Sound

I was able to hook up a record player my wife purchased a few years back and some home speakers I purchased and it takes me back to the eighties when people had real home "hi-fidelity" stereos. The receiver is blue tooth enabled so I was able to connect phone but the real treat is the sound of a record playing. Audio quality and bass are awesome!

The volume knob has some resistance built into it, I guess to simulate the flywheel feel of older models. I have not yet connected my old turntable to test that out, but all other functions work great.
