awesome receiver
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.i enjoyed using this receiver. i use it to run with my Sony STR-DN1080 in conjunction to power another Zone regularly. the sound quality was phenomenal. i am a very proud owner of both Sony receivers. i could not be any happier. when it comes to buying receivers or amplifiers i always buy Sony because they are higher end and the sound quality is awesome. in conclusion, the higher end, the better.

Very good tuner, able to capture over the air broadcast. DSP processing is exceptional, allowing clarity and accurate fidelity on many types of recordings, from low bit rate to 4k master recordings.

Only negative is the speaker wire connections is difficult to work with as the receivers wire connection devise only allows speaker wire diameter that is very small, making it difficult to connect speaker wires especially if you have more that 1 speaker per channel. Other wise fine, well worth the price.

The tuner was the best I've had in years, picked up stations I haven't heard in a very long time, the Bluetooth worked great and easy, can't wait till I can hook up my turntable and the CD player.

The range is pretty good as I can have my device anywhere in the house and the connection is still strong. It was a good fit for my two outdoor speakers. And it doesn’t heat up which is a plus!

Great Sony quality and a great price!

Good inexpensive 2 ch receiver

When shopping in store, the lack of an optical in was not a concern. After hooking everything up, we decided we also wanted our TV sound to run through our stereo system which was my primary reason for returning. If you want both Bluetooth and a phono hookup on a tight budget, this may be your unit. Lacking other features which can be found for ~$50 more, I personally don't find this to be as much of a value.
