Very good buy for stereo music listenting!

Owned for 2 months when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.My major problem with this receiver is that it won't use 4 ohm speakers (long story but the tech replaced my 8 ohm with 4 ohm without asking first). Aside from that, the receiver has been great! At first not so much, but it has gotten better and better. Not sure if the phono input is as good as an external preamp but it can do the job. Bluetooth is good. Not pleased with the proprietary FM antenna (actually, a small wire) as it has limited the reception. Still, for the price it is a very good buy, especially for someone like myself who wants only a 2 channel receiver for strictly music listenting. At least a B+, possibly an A- Only the speaker impedeance limit keeps it from an A+

I'm just mezmorized the sound for the price is like having a AUDIOPHILE SYSTEM that is worth THOUSANDS I was skeptic at first because i only had 2 very old Panasonic bookshelf speakers with only a small 4.5 woofer and a 2.5 tweeter that can hold 50 watts RMS and boy I was so surpriced. I don't need anything else. I'm so happy.

Great for the price

Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Best receiver for the price good power simple set up installation very easy to connect for Bluetooth no option for subwoofer or to add a equalizer 100 watts per channel but I have it hooked up to a pair of pioneer vintage 3 way speakers 150 watts each and handles them very well.

Best for Turntable

It’s such a great alternative. Has phono input so I don’t even need my uturn Pluto. It has Bluetooth so if I ever wanna go rogue and listen to Spotify or something I’m good there. It’s pretty easy to set up and all.

Plugged my old speakers in & was very happy w/ the sound! Unfortunately read in the manual 6 or 8ohm speakers & lo & behold mine are 4ohm & apparently that could make the unit overheat, so after reading reviews, bought the Sony SSCS5 speakers which are great as well. I suspect I probably could have gotten away w/ continuing to use my 4ohm speakers w/ this; but "experts" on YouTube said it could shorten the life of the stereo receiver. So there 'ya have it, folks! Oh, just one more thing-LOVE that you don't need a separate pre-amp to plug in turntable. It comes built in.

Good Unit

New Bluetooth feature is very cool, as I can even play long, extended music clips on You Tube as nice, soft background music. And some of those are even without ADS! Have my 5 CD Changer hooked up to it, along with a dual cassette player, which I still use. And a great sales price of $200, $50 off list price, a real bargain.

A good basic stereo receiver

The only complaint has to do with the FM antenna plug. It is unique to Sony and apparently used on other product. To use an outside antenna with a 75 ohm coax, You will need a 300 ohm to 75 ohm transformer. They only cost about $3 so it is no big deal. Other than that, the receiver works great. I like the strong Bluetooth connectivity and it has a button on the remote to easily connect.

Phono/Bluetooth/Line all work great. it has a simple "bass/treble" EQ and impedance settings and that is it in terms of settings. Only minor complaint is the antenna they provide for FM radio wasn't sufficient to get decent reception. That could be specific to my location though.

Makes Great garage or porch stereo. Sounds good plays loud. Hey My other stereo is worth 25,000

Can't beat it for the price.

It's not intended for home theater use, but that wasn't what I needed. It drives my old Advent speakers nicely, and even has bluetooth, so you can listen to it through a bluetooth device like an Alexa. It even has surprisingly good FM radio reception with just the single wire FM antenna that comes with it. I live on the fringe of the Pittsburgh PA FM coverage area, and have never had good FM reception on other receivers or radios, but this one even picks up WQED-FM classial music station with just the supplied FM antenna hanging on a nearby shelf. I was impressed.
