Simple, gets the job done

It's about as simple as it gets for a stereo receiver but for its purpose there's no need to over-complicate it. The remote is really handy for making basic EQ changes on-the-fly while listening. I actually prefer the phono preamp on the receiver vs. the one on the more expensive turntable. Only thing I wish it had was a sub out but at this price point I can't complain.

Even with bass and treble at their highest setting, there is little richness in the sound. Poor bass response isn’t helping the situation. Essentially a very flat sounding amp. If you’re looking for a basic analog amp to enjoy spinning some vinyl and hearing that classic 70’s warmth and expansive sound stage, look elsewhere.

Bluetooth connects easily and the sound quality is good. Durability has not been an issue for me. I've purchased three of these receivers. The oldest I've now owned for about 4 years. All function like new.

I was expecting it to be all plastic for the price, but it's got some weight to it. It does have plenty of power and the Bluetooth works well. The volume button is really stiff, I'm assuming that is intentional so you don't bump it up too fast? Phono preamp works fine. Plenty of inputs really. You can relabel the inputs, but just one letter, not sure if that helps. The only drawback I've seen is that the speaker clips are pretty cheap. I have 12 gauge speaker wire that doesn't fit into them actually. I just bought a $80 Fosi amp that has banana plugs on it, the clips on these are where they cut costs.

Good value for a basic receiver

There's an input jack in front for using an iPod. I also use it for listening to CDs and sometimes for watching movies with my TV hooked up to it. More than powerful enough for my needs as I don't turn up the volume very loud. Good enough for two bookshelf speakers.

Upgraded my record player set-up with this!

Very easy to use and set up with multiple outputs/inputs. I love turning the dials, they have a semi-analog feel to them. The Bluetooth capability is also very neat, I use it to play music from iPhone as well.

Phono input is awesome, no hum, very warm and clean sound! Bluetooth has a good range, have been about 20-50 feet away with no breaks. Awesome receiver that does what I needs it to do! Bought this on sale, open box, excellent condition for around 170$. Can’t do any better than this

cheap fix for turntable problem

My hitech Yamaha had no way to connect a turntable, so I had to go lowtech. This is plain stereo (perfect for turntable), has input for turntable and enough power to make most of us happy. And it is inexpensive, as the next price point was $400 more for turntable connectivity. Great stuff!

My only complaints are the volume knob is stiff to turn and the function led lights are too small. Like the remote Bluetooth 'on' function. Easy set up.

Actually I initially purchased a Yamaha bluetooth receiver but the pairing was complicated at best,so I returned it and purchased the Sony receiver that also had great reviews. The pairing was very simple and the sound was great.

Handles my altec 8 ohm speakers with great volume, fantastic price excellent quality. I highly recommend this product for the money l Paid. Also my cd player.

It has a phono input for my turntable and inputs for my CD player and tv (and a few more unused inputs) as well as a built in radio tuner. I really like the bluetooth receiver. It is easy to stream music from my tablet to this receiver. Note: the bluetooth stream is one-way, from a tablet or phone into the receiver. The receiver cannot send output to bluetooth speakers.

Excellent value for a great basic receiver

Has Bluetooth which is simple to work, so plays from any device. Also has a mini-plug input on the front panel if device doesn’t have Bluetooth, and 4 standard rca inputs for cd, dvd, etc. Simple to work, sound is clean even when cranked up, and even has a very useful remote! I was happily surprised with the thought given to make this totally usable in a basic use situation.

Affordable and quality

It works amazing as a turntable receiver, the radio comes in clear, and the Bluetooth is really handy. I’d recommend this to anyone looking for a great sounding receiver at a super affordable price. I did receive it with a lot of box damage and some dings to the unit itself, but I hate when people mark down their reviews for that kind of stuff as it doesn’t reflect the product, but wanted to note that Best Buy did help out and sent a partial refund.
