I've really found this device useful and of good quality. I'm sure it's not even close to audiophile worthy, but it really made my turntable sound better than the dinky preamp I had. I like that it also has easy to use bluetooth and radio capabilities.

I'm an old 70's era "stereoholic" and I needed something for music in my garage / workshop. Paired with a pair of Polk XT 15's it works really well for it's intended purpose. 99% of what I listen to with this system is bluetooth from my phone, and with that it pairs seamlessly. I have little more invested in this system than a good bluetooth speaker and the sound is many, many times better. Rock on !

I've been using a soundbar, and I haven't been able to distinguish voices very well, and just needed something to drive the sound better. This is a simple 100-watt receiver that fits my need perfectly. Of course, a lot depends on speakers. Also easy to pair and keep a Bluetooth connection, so I've been using my iPhone and tv, and I'm pleased with the cost and setup.

Got this to power my outdoor back porch speakers and couldn't be happier. My previous fancy Onkyo was Wi-Fi and then was not updated so could no longer be controlled from the app on my phone or tablet then the preamp went out. Was looking for a simple not expensive replacement and nailed it with the Sony. Bluetooth connected immediately for my Pandora/Tunein/Amazon streaming. Sound is great. What more did I need? If you just need a simple 2 channel stereo receiver this could fit the bill.

So my 1976 Morse receiver finally gave up the left channel. I still wanted to listen to the old vinyl so I needed a new receiver WITH a phono input. This was the least cost with Bluetooth and mini-in jack I could find. And it is a SONY. The remote makes pairing with a phone the easiest I have ever used. Even the tech-challenged can do the pairing. I connected to an older Infinity speaker set that runs the right & left thru the woofer so the 2.0 works fine for me. For a guy that just needs the basics (no fancy AV connections) this is the receiver to buy,

I use this with a sonos port to power my outdoor and garage speakers and it works perfectly for my setup with the A, B and A+B speaker output options. The bluetooth works well. I don't use the radio so I can't comment ton that, but I'm sure it's fine. The receiver is a really nice size, so it's easy to find a place to keep it and the price was good. I would recommend this for a similur use to power smaller speakers etc.

This was to replace my Teac AG 360 which after 25 years started to generate a humming sound. The Sony has the same dimensions so it fits perfectly on the shelf. It sounds great on all modes. I haven't tried the phono mode however. I think they should advertise as a 90 watts per channel with 0.09 % THD instead of 100 Watts per channel with 1 % THD. People who have been around stereo receivers would probably be more inclined to try this one if the did. 1 % is way over what most manufacturers state in their specs. I never need more than about 10 watts myself.

Great upgrade from my 1977 Sony receiver

The most difficult thing about swapping in my new STRDH190-2 Stereo Receiver to my stereo cabinet was accessing the various cables and wires behind it to disconnect my 1977-vintage Sony AM/FM Stereo Receiver and reconnect things to the new receiver. Connecting other components – a 1977-vintage Sony turntable and a more recent Sony CD player/recorder – was simple, and I was up and running, playing vinyl and recording to CD, in no time. Syncing Bluetooth devices (iPod, iPhone) was similarly painless; the built-in Bluetooth capability eliminates the need for a separate Bluetooth device. I am still working my way up the learning curve on the FM radio presets, but that is a low priority since there are only a couple of decent FM stations in my area (one of which is a college station with a very weak signal.) I am enjoying having a more modern home stereo setup, and look forward to many (though maybe not 46…) years of enjoyment.

Hi MarkE, we are delighted to know that you are satisfied with our product, as you said having Bluetooth connectivity really makes a difference allowing wireless streaming of music with your Bluetooth-enabled devices, as well having a Built-in Digital Signal Processing (DSP) Equalizer, this feature eliminates the need for an external equalizer, as it provides sound customization directly within the receiver. We appreciate your review and thank you for choosing Sony! Regards, - Dominick Sony_US

I purchased this amplifier to replace an older Sony unit in my office. The amp is absolutely fantastic for the price - I bought an open box clearance unit for jyst under $100. It pushes out clean sound, drives the set of Yamaha dual 12" woofer tower speakers with plenty of juice to spare, and has a rock solid Bluetooth connection with my tablet and phone for streaming music and videos. You will not regret purchasing the DH-190!

I just needed a basic 2 channel receiver to play music in my family room & on my deck. I'm dating myself, but I just want to listen to FM & my CDs. Although playing Pandora with Blue tooth is nice. Speaking of dating myself, the sales help at Best Buy was probably at least 1/2 my age & couldn't comprehend why I didn't want surround sound etc. Bottom line, everything is great w/ this receiver & I probably paid less for this receiver than I did back in the 70's when I upgraded every 2-3 years.

    Solid Basic Receiver, terrible antenna

So I purchased this because I wanted a stereo receiver with A & B speaker options so that I could split audio to 2 separate sets of speakers. This was to replace a 20+ year old Sony home theater receiver. In that regard it works fine. It has a solid number of basic input options including the Bluetooth which I have tested but typically don't use. Like the old one, I appreciate the basic design of the front as I am one of those that doesn't like a lot of lights, dials flair and flash. All in all it does everything as expected- with the exception that Sony has decided that the only input option for an FM antenna is a tiny, hair thin single wire type antenna befitting a motel alarm clock, not any kind of serious home use. Let me be clear, shame on me for not researching better but there is NO option for connection of a coax or even spade terminal 300 ohm antennas. I have a very good FM antenna at the highest point of my attic and with my old receiver connected via about 50 feet of coax I received A LOT of channels with excellent clarity. Much to my chagrin, this receiver got TERRIBLE reception no matter how I oriented the tiny wire. I came very very close to returning the receiver, but after a little online research I found that I could purchase two-wire connectors that would plug directly into antenna input. A 300-75 ohm balun and some soldering later I had an adapter that I could connect my coax antenna feed to and presto, got all my FM reception back. This is not a sophisticated piece of hardware as far as what it does, so the lack of a common, useful antenna connection cripples its use as an FM tuner. While I do use several streaming services, I can't be the only person that still wants an FM radio, particularly for listening to local sports without a subscription service or other methods of dubious legality. If you are interested in this primarily for over the air FM reception, be aware that it really requires a bit of DIY work to connect even a pair of rabbit ears
