Using to stream BT audio to wired speakers

Owned for 1 month when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Using this mostly to stream BT audio (using an internet-connected Echo Show) from the receiver inside to some wired speakers outside in the yard. I can run A and B simulataneously...works great for me! FM reception is good, and the phono input works well. I have had no issues with the Bluetooth. Very satisfied.

Great Product for Simple Needs

It has 4 L/R audio inputs, plus an additional phono input for turntables with an MM type cartridge. The unit has bare-wire connectors for two sets of speakers, A and B. The setup guide makes it clear that you MUST have speakers connected to the unit before applying power. Without speakers, the amplifier could fail. Permanently. I really like the built-in Bluetooth capability; I can stream music from my phone or computer without a hassle. This unit replaces a 20+ year-old Sony receiver that served me well for a long time. I expect this one to last at least as long.

Nice Simple Receiver

It works exactly as expected. I don’t use too many of the features except for the Bluetooth, turner, and phonograph settings. Everything has been fantastic for my needs

Great Bluetooth

The main function I wanted was a good BlueTooth so I could stream music directly from my phone while hanging outside. The receiver picks up great from about 25-30 ft with no drops in coverage (also inside a cabinet). Setup took less than ten minutes out of the box.

Excellent Value for Capable Unit

Way more versatility and updates the technology of my component set. Great reception on the tuner, but it only receives FM. Handles my four speakers well and has adequate power for my listening use. In addition to supporting my tape deck, turn table, and cd player, it has blue tooth capability that allow me to play music apps from my phone on my speakers.

Happy I bought it at a good price. Connects to my cell phone easily with a touch of the button on remote. I have it hooked up to a powered subwoofer to watch movies.

Really solid for the price

Not a big fan how much it turns itself on when i play something from my phone, then i see thats its on a couple hours later but otherwise ive been really happy with the quality. It also works well with my older sony speakers

Finally got a receiver

The bluetooth works great..playing music off my phone. My 6 cd changer running from it is awesome. My old speakers(studio monitors) sound great and loud. Room for improvement thing (why 4 stars) is am/fm antenna could be upgraded to bring in better station strengths. But i did read that on reviews so/or/and not big deal to me. Sale price was a final decision to buy. Good quality. Very satisfied.

Great upgrade

This Sony receiver was exactly what I needed. It is the perfect modern receiver with a phono input (because I’m a vinyl collector) and Bluetooth. The receiver also has a gain boost for the phono input. This gives the turntable more gain. Really nice feature. This is the perfect 2.0 receiver for Bluetooth and vinyl.

I just needed a small no frills receiver for a medium-sized room with two excellent speakers and a large CD collection. No home theatre or other luxuries. This SONY filled the bill perfectly; it has just enough power, is easy to operate and the sound it and the speakers provide is superb. I've bought many SONY electronic products in the past, and based on my experience with this receiver, will continue to do so.

I got it on sale but even at the list price of $150 it is a bargain. My last Sony receiver lasted over 20 years. My only complaint is the speaker connections are very tiny spring loaded connectors. It was very hard to connect my speakers and I had to get separate connectors

great for home studio!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.i am a songwriter and needed a receiver for my home studio when my old one died.The first one i got was DOA and went to my local best buy and got a replacement sent to me in 3 days.The new one has worked great.Has a great sound and good power for my mastering needs.I work with alot of high quality wav and mp3 files at 48 khz-24 bit with a p.c. computer setup and the sound is clean and no noise background...definite buy!
