Great quality and price point!

I hooked this up to my older JBL 12 inch speakers and placed them on my garage for audio while I use my home gym. I didn’t want to break the bank because it’s in a garage. But this receiver is blasting my neighbors out lol I love opening the garage and making the whole neighborhood hear it! The Bluetooth is perfect it connects with no issues and reconnects after the power is turned off then I turn it on again for the next use. The radio works perfect with the supplied antenna no static at all on AM or FM. The remote has all functions it fast forwards the tracks and songs fast and perfectly. I would say for 200 bucks this is a great choice for inside the house or a garage or backyard application. Another great product form Sony!

I installed this product out in the bay area and can control the music via bluetooth from the whole garage. Even the paintbooth! Insignia sells one a few dollars cheaper. Go with this one. You will not regret!

Only needed 2 channels, but liked the addition of Bluetooth. In reference to the bluetooth, I like that once I've connected it with my phone, all I have to do is find it on the bluetooth list in the future and I can start streaming music.

Easy setup, big stereo sound

It sounds great connected to the main AV system in the living room and is perfect for connecting directly to my phone via Bluetooth. My outdoor rock speakers have never sounded better.

Great replacement receiver

I have of vinyl, cds, and thousands of digital. I needed one unit which could handle turntable, cd changer, and digital. This unit worked well with my wired speakers ( I only use Bluetooth speakers when I don’t care what my music sounds like) and that would be never. So if you like your music clear and clean with full bodied sound this unit works well. If you listen through Bluetooth speakers then what does it matter. There is enough power to shake the house if needed. I’m using it for music only in my painting studio and it does just fine. Great speakers make the difference and this Sony has plenty of power to push out the sound as it was made to be heard. I am still learning more of its capabilities. My old Sony receive was 10 years old and is now out in the workshop. Still works fine.

Good Receiver, but not great.

I have had a few difficulties with it, however, that have irritated me. One is that when I am connected to some bluetooth devices, there is a loud static noise when playing songs or videos. I love the bluetooth feature, so I have been using it, only to have my ears hurt from this sound at the beginning of songs. All that beings, said, this receiver does seem to produce a clear reproduction and has an easy to use remote. My Klipsch reference speakers sound great through it when I have the bass turned up a bit on the receiver. As others have mentioned, the EQ options are just bass and treble, and the bass tuning is frustrating as it seems low and when I cut bass up it starts to get muddy (tuning too much into the mids/bass).

Thank you for taking the time to write this review. While we're glad you like the receiver, we're sorry to hear the issues that you are having when using Bluetooth connection. You may try some of the steps below to isolate the issue.
Severe humming or noise.
• If there are obstructions between the receiver and your BLUETOOTH device, remove them or move the receiver and/or device avoid them.
• If there is a device that generates electromagnetic radiation, such as a wireless LAN, other BLUETOOTH device, or a microwave oven nearby, move it away.
• Turn down the volume of the connected BLUETOOTH device
You can adjust the tonal balance of the speakers. Please refer to the receiver manual on page 21.

Went to Best Buy so I could have tunes when I get off of work. I AM VERY PLEASED WITH MY JOICE. It is blue tooth capable and I can hook up my old equipment. I really like that it automatically recognizes my phone over Bluetooth. It also has plenty of inputs for sources like my HD radio. My Vandersteen speakers sound great with it!
