I also wanted to be able to connect into my Sonos speaker system. This Sony comes with a phono input so it provides the amplifier needed to play the turntable which my older Sony did not. This receiver worked as expected for all my components- turntable and CD player. Only issue I had with Sonos was the phono amp did not have enough power to use the Sonos speakers although it worked great with the wired speakers on the Receiver. I had to add a small pre-amp in between the phono input and Sonos Connect to actually boost amps into Sonos to hear the turntable and it seemed to have done the trick.

I have a pair of older Sound Dynamic shelf speakers that it runs very nicely. It works great for what I need and want. I'm sure it would be great for running larger speakers as well. The bluetooth connected to my Samsung S7 quickly and easily. The remote is easy to understand as well. It's very nice having a simple button to push for easy bass and treble adjustment and not having to go through menus. The knobs are very solid on the unit. I have always been turned off when the knobs feel loose. It gives them a cheap feel. Not with this unit. They are very firm. The receiver is also quite heavy. I'm not a technology guy or have any real detailed data to back this up, but it being heavy tells me there's actually real components in there! LOL. It's a great buy and worth every penny.

Not many receivers have both and this is the only one I found at this price point. Remote control included. Overall great receiver for the money.

Great Low Priced, Value Receiver

Plenty of power, offers Bluetooth connectivity with music apps. It pairs well in specs and sound with matching Sony Core SerieS speakers (both tower and bookshelf). A really nice system.

I would've given it five stars but for the way speaker wire is connected to the amp. I don't like baring the tip of the input wire to the amp, and clamping it in. I like plugs.

It works well with our classic turntable and has lots of inputs for other components. The sound is great and Bluetooth is the best. You can stream your favorite radio stations or Pandora. Overall great value.

Great value

The Bluetooth is easy to connect to and changing inputs is very simple. I’m not sure it’s exactly would 249 or even 199 but it works as billed and I have no issues with the receiver at all

Great receiver for the price!

I hooked it up to my outdoor Bose speakers and the backyard was playing music again.

Just moved into a house with a whole house speaker set-up, and needed something simple and affordable to power it all. Connects to bluetooth in a snap and Alexa also. I really like the feature where if you turn on your Bluetooth device, the stereo will automatically turn on. Good power and sound

A great 2-Channel Receiver at an amazing price!

Owned for 1 week when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I originally bought this receiver to replace the 30-year-old 5.1 Channel Sony Prologic Receiver in my living room, but decided to locate this one to replace the 50-year-old Pioneer SX780 on my back porch. It works fine in either room, with superb sound quality, even when engaging both A and B speakers simultaneously. As the porch houses my treadmill, this 2.0 Channel elevates the sound well-over the noise of the treadmill, so that I can actually enjoy whatever I am watching on TV. This is a great primary receiver for those who don't already have a set up for 5 channels and with all those RCA inputs, will accommodate "old school" components. It serves well as a secondary receiver to the Sony 5.2 Channel that I bought a week later.
