I needed something simple.

It works great with both. I like simple and don't need a lot of options. Definitely a wise purchase.

I gave it 4 stars because it does not have AM. I live in the high desert valley surrounded by mountains so I don't get many stations, but my older Sony similar to my (STR-DH130) in the bedroom has AM and gets the stations I need, such as Coast to Coast with George Noory. I hope Sony is more reliable than the two Yamaha receivers of the same model (HTR-5830) both of which went bad on me. The Sony's are much simpler without all the bells and whistles. At 70 I need simplicity.

I HAVE A SET OF 3 WAY SMALLER SPEAKERS I WAS GOING TO BUY NEW FLOOR SPEAKERS BUT THIS AMP HAS THESE OLDER SPEAKERS SINGING A NEW TUNE BIG TIME!!! GREAT RECEIVER GREAT PRICE!!!

Sounds good and the remote works well. Has a phono jack which was a feature I needed for the few remaining LPs I saved. I enjoy listening to good music and this thing makes it happen.

The Best in Sound Receiver!

I will recommend this any day!! I got this for good sound but also to be able to use just one single remote to operate both TV and audio.

Has everything I need for a good price

But it also has a radio and Bluetooth connection that works fine with my Android. Definitely a great buy and worth the investment.
