This replaced my luxman receiver which was very hard to beat. This receiver does a very good job for what I wanted it for. I have a Single CD player, Double Cassette deck and a 5 CD disc changer hooked up to this and they all sound good through this receiver. I don't have much use for the remote, so I have not used it. Overall, it is worth the money

Excellent receiver

We first bought a different unit online elsewhere and had to return it because it did not work. Would not turn on. Luckily, this Sony receiver was available at a local Best Buy and I could pick it up the same day. The online ordering with store pick up worked flawlessly. The only thing it does not have is AM radio but this is not that important. And the price was right. We are very happy with the purchase and love the sound of our system.

The readout is a pleasing blue and there is definitely no factory odor or hot circuit smell when you fire it up. The knobs have a satisfying heft to them. Unfortunately the speakers I ordered with it have been delayed now for over a month, I'm beginning to think I will never know what the thing sounds like. Right now it operates as a very expensive night light, so awesome!

Simple amp

It’s driving 4 large 8 ohm speakers, 2 turntables, CD player, TV, Squeezebox Duet, and even a cassette player for archived cassettes (just in case). Can stream music from my phone via the built in Bluetooth receiver or can plug in on the convenient front port. I also connected a Bluetooth transmitter to the audio out ports allowing me to use my B&O noise canceling headphones. The remote makes it easy to use all the face-accessible features from a distance as well.

It is replacing an old old Nikko receiver in our large family room in the basement. It produces sound/music much better than I had expected. The Bluetooth capability is very good and reaches much further than I had expected. It is powering 4 Yamaha ceiling speakers that sound great. You get a Big Bang for the Buck For this receiver.
