Posted .Hi Mike, Thank you for the feedback on your experience with your STRDH190 receiver. We're glad you like the ease of setup and use of your new receiver. Make sure the volume is not set to “VOL MIN”. Please try to press the VOLUME + button all the way up to see if there will be difference with the sound. Check that all connecting cables are inserted to their input/output jacks on the receiver, speakers and the devices. Make sure you have connected to both the L and R jacks of an analog device, as analog devices require both L and R jack connections. Use a stereo audio cable (not supplied). The only issue I have is that it takes about 5 seconds to "turn on" after hitting the power button.

Super amplifier-tuner
