Thank you for the review. When matching speakers and Audio/Video (A/V) receivers, the ohm rating of the speaker should be equal to or greater than the ohm rating of the receiver to avoid a risk of hardware damage. Any speakers that feature bare wire connection will work to this receiver, as long as their impedances are from 6 to 16 ohms.

The Sony unit I received was non-working out of the box and Sony tech support was completely non-responsive. Thankfully, Best Buy provided an immediate refund when I dropped off the defective unit at a local store. I ultimately purchased an integrated amp with bluetooth from another manufacturer.

Speaker wires that are anywhere between 12 to 16 gauge are most commonly used for connecting speakers to an amplifier or an Audio/Video (A/V) receiver. When determining which wire gauge to use, consider how far away the speakers are from your amplifier or A/V receiver. Generally, for short speaker wire runs, a 16-gauge wire is sufficient. However, for longer speaker wire runs (to another room, for example), it is better to use a thicker, lower-gauge wire. Hope this helps!

You cannot manually tune in the radio stations and the ones that do that tune in are not really clear. I'm mad I threw away the box, otherwise I'd return this.

Because input sources vary in the quality, type, and strength of the signal being received, it is normal for the overall volume to differ from input source to input source. We are not sure what source are you playing on your STRDH190, however, you may try adjusting the tonal balance of the connected speakers by pressing the TREBLE & BASS buttons on the supplied remote control of this receiver to isolate the problem.

Move the BLUETOOTH device closer to
the receiver (within 1 meter (3.3 feet) of
the receiver).
Pairing may not be possible if there are
other BLUETOOTH devices near the
receiver. In this case, turn off the other
BLUETOOTH devices.
Press BLUETOOTH PAIRING.
“PAIRING” flashes on the display
panel.
Select “STR-DH190” on your phone's display.
