    Decent receiver for the money. Needed to replace worn out Yamaha unit but didn't want to pay Big money and this unit fits the bill good.

    It works grate but doesn’t support subwoofer. Love the Bluetooth and aux but that is alriggt

Unfortunately, this unit only supports 2 channel stereo which means connecting a subwoofer is not an option.     Sorry Sony, i have purchased lots of Sony products over the years and this really disappointed me and my son. We bought him a record player (which worked great) and this receiver. The receiver did not power up out of the box. This brand new unit was DOA. The price was right.

    Junk right out of the box

    Bought an "OPEN BOX" one that had a label on outside that said "NO DAMAGE CONDITION: EXCELLENT". Would not even power on, who checked that before sending it out? Would not send replacement at all, send it back for refund was only option. I just wanted a replacement, would that be so hard? Bought another once elsewhere. Poor customer service in my opinion.

    Received it yesterday, hooked up a nice little set of Bose 301’s, dead out of the box. Power it on, nothing happens, shuts down in ten seconds.. Disconnected speakers and tried to power on, same thing. Dug up my porch Techinics sa go-170, added a unify bluetooth, awesome.. Needles to say this Sony is going back to Erie.My technics is 25 years old and still rocks and also does the new/old phono, and you can even have an added equalizer,,,!,

    Arrived intact (but a couple days late), no apparent damage, and after hooking up wires and plugging it. in the only thing that works on it is the little green power on/off light. No display, no sound, nothing. Waste of time and money. Will be returning.

    100W? I doubt it. Pale and thin compared to the 20-year-old 100w Sony it replaced.

    This is an economical solution that offers good sound quality and a lot of options and flexibility for home entertainment. Very low-profile, providing plenty of functionality without taking up a lot of room on the shelf. One of the nicest features is the Bluetooth integration, which allows you to connect via Bluetooth for favorite playlists without having to duplicate music from one device to another. Using phone or tablet as a remote also comes in very handy, and one less remote to keep track of. Overall, the Bluetooth integration is another step forward for seamless play of music collections and favorite tunes. Analog inputs are helpful to accommodate CD or phono players for those favorite tunes in the archives and collections of favorites from years ago. Some of us have those ‘oldies and goldies’ from years past, and it is great to be able to play those without having to have another piece of hardware just to accommodate the need. Being able to hook up the CD and vinyl players combined with the modern Bluetooth functions is a very nice combination that covers all the bases for flexibility. 100 watts per channel is plenty for me and provides a good range and clarity of sound without having to go 'high-end' on equipment. The A/B channels can be controlled independently, and you can easily use the remote function to play one or both channels with speakers in separate rooms. The FM receiver and plenty of pre-sets is another nice bonus and very useful for morning listening. Sony quality is evident with solid construction and good sound quality and clarity. Hard to go wrong with the Sony brand.

    i've purchased Sony products since the 70's and was shocked and let down when i got my new receiver and hooked everything up, then when i turned it on, no screen and 20-30 seconds later it just shut off... tried it again and again. still same thing....... Defective... then i checked where it was made... China... is anything made and sold from america?

    Not Like The Older Model Insignia

    When I purchased this receiver, I thought it would perform the same as my older model Insignia. Well, I was wrong. Here's the problem. For some reason, the sound output with or without the headphones is too low and without natural sound, no matter how much you tweak it coming from any inputs. Finally, and more important to me, unlike my older model Insignia receiver, there is no way to toggle between speaker audio to headphone audio without having to get up and take the headphone jack out from the receiver. You should be able to toggle between speaker on/off to hear sound through speaker and, vice versa, through headphones. Fortunately, I returned it back to Best Buy and got a refund.

Plugging in headphones to the headphone port automatically turns off the sound from the speakers. If there is an audio coming out from the speakers, it is possible that the headphones are not fully plugged into the port. There is also no option to toggle between speaker audio and headphone audio because plugging in a headphone automatically switches off the speakers.

    Good receiver with A/B speaker switching

    Good receiver and good price. I bought it for my inside ceiling and outside speakers. The A/B speaker switching is very helpful. I connected inside speakers in A and outside in B. When I am not using outside speakers I can simply turn those off and only use inside speakers.

    I received and it just did not work ...its power light went on then off face never lit up...followed directions implicitly ..have had steroes for 45 years...beside not working felt cheap .and as for best buy ..well if they work for u great...it seems I return more than I keep....and I feel like they knew it was problem and sold it anyway
