    Nearly perfect product

I bought this receiver mostly because I needed one that would take a phono signal from my turntable. I have it hooked up to two pairs of in-ceiling speakers that were in the house when I moved in. The speakers are nothing special, but the sound is great from this receiver! I can play either pair of speakers or all four at once. I have it hooked up to a CD player and turntable, which both sound great. FM radio also sounds great. I love the "pure direct" feature, which cleans up most of the noise on FM. Last but not least, this thing is aesthetically beautiful, and you can run it with dimmed or black panel, which is nice at night. I can't think of a single negative about this product, including the price, which is reasonable.

Unless you are an audio nut, this reciever has all the features you need except a balance option. It has nice power, the remote is superb, has a bass and treble controls, has plenty of rca jacks to add on up to 4 audio devices PLUS a turntable. Yes, you can connect 4 speakers. And the price won't set u back. I have a turntable, cd changer, cassette deck and graphic equalizer plugged into this reciever.

This 2 channel receiver was purchase for my lower level garage. It is powering 2 sets of 8 ohm older vintage Ampex and Fisher speakers. Works great, sounds great. FM reception is acceptable for this lower level location with my favorite station. I love the Bluetooth function as well. Great purchase for me. Would recommend !! Great value at $150

I love the receiver. Replacing an OLD Pioneer receiver with blue tooth capability is amazing - but I lost my the Equalizer that my old one had. Purchased an open box item and it did not have the antenna. Best Buy did not furnish it even though it said it was open box excellent so it wasn't such a good price after I purchased the antenna but I didn't want to take it apart and drive 80 miles to return and exchange it.

Wow, What happened to Sony? So my old Sony STR-D365 is I know well over 30 years old. Being into car audio all my life and a Sony fan have always loved my music loud, yes even at 50 years old guess you could say grandpa likes to rattle the windows in my home! The New unit was very sleek and stylish, Bluetooth was a great feature and the remote WOW! Set up was super easy however when the power button was pushed I noticed some great highs and mids for the most part sounded really good however the bass was a little flat. I found my favorite Symphonic metal playlist and decided to give my old KLH 15's a work out boy was I mistaken. I have a pair of 8 inch book shelf speakers and they sounded great but this new Sony couldn't push my 15's. I even raised the volume up to 50, my old unit I never went over 3 as stuff was vibrating off the shelves, which compared would possibly be 30 on the new scale so even at more volume the sound could not compare. So the 30 year old Sony will go back in its place to vibrate my chest when the bass hits and well the New Sony will be back in the box and returned. Sony really good try, if you can tweak the bass frequencies to handle woofers larger than a 10 inch woofer you will have a award winning piece because the mids and highs were amazing, its the bass that fell short or maybe my standards are too high as music is my escape.

So far the receiver is exactly what we wanted and what we need. We are not ‘high tech,’ and were replacing an item that had aged out, while keeping our other components. It easily hooked into our other devices and we are back to enjoying music.

Bought this for our housewarming party and was pleasantly surprised by the performance. Paired this with 4 of the insignia NS-OS112 and it sounds absolutely phenomenal and very loud. The only downfall is no pre-out for a subwoofer but for the price point you can’t beat it. I have 2 speakers outside and 2 speakers inside for my zone A & B and I’m loving it.

This is a great entry level Audio Receiver. It offers robust sound with 4 stereo inputs, 3.5 mm input along with strong stereo output. I especially appreciate that it lets you wirelessly stream from Bluetooth equipped devices. An additional plus is that it has the capability of FM radio with 30-preset stations. If you are on a budget and need a low-cost receiver that has robust capabilities to enhance your studio equipment, then this very well may be the receiver for you!

Ive been an audiophile nearly my entire life. So when I needed a computer audio system, I was not going to use typical 'computer speakers' Having an extra pair of small 2 way monitors was going to use those, But they require an external amp. But I didn't want to spend a ton of money on this. Started w/ cheap Chinese class D amp. I worked, but sounded pretty lousy & eventually broke, so started looking for a 'real' amp....again on a budget. So I found this. Never auditioned, but SONY makes quality products so why not. Now I have interconnect cables in my main audio rig that cost more than this amp, so not expected much. Wow, it actually sounds pretty great. Doesn't have the soundstage capability of a high end amp but sound is balanced and does not induce 'ear fatigue, unlike a lot of mass market gear. Which is related more to a harshest in the treble, more than simple distortion. It has adequate power to drive my fairly inefficient speakers to satisfy levels in a near field setup. Only think I wish it had were proper speaker binding post instead. of spring loaded type.....hence my 4 star rating. I'd trade features like Bluetooth & phono in for this change. (or pay a bit more) Oh & be nice id had line level subwoofer output. But I'm really happy overall. Nice fast shipping by BB too.

After searching for a receiver and reading for what seemed like months I found the Sony - 2.0-Ch. Stereo Receiver with Bluetooth. I wanted something that would bring out the highs and lows of all music and this is it. What was most important to me was to bring back the 60s and 70s sound that I once new. Thank you for the great surprise at a very good price.

Recently set up a home stereo system.  Receiver: Sony STR-DH190Turntable: Audio-Technica AT-LP120XTB-USB-CRCD Player: Onkyo C-7030Speakers: Klipsch Synergy F-300 I used the direct out from the receiver into a Vizio SB3851-CO surround sound system to use the subwoofer to pick up any lows the Klipsch speakers missed.  All I can say is wow! This system sounds incredible. I'm not a techie but I did my research when purchasing these components. I can definitely tell a difference in sound quality, volume and dynamics.  This receiver paired with a quality turntable and cd player brings out nuances that I've never heard. I can't speak to the longevity of this device but so far I'm more than satisfied.  If you're on the fence, don't be. This device is worth every penny.

Decent quality FM Tuner w/ Bluetooth

I hooked up a two pairs of cheap, but compatible speakers to this receiver (one in front of room by Television, one in rear near PC monitor), and tested the sound of the FM Tuner. With a little positioning of the antenna, I managed to get at least one or two decent stations (I didn't exhaustively search). The sound quality was at least as good as you would expect, though I can't really rate the sound as the speakers do not come with the item. I did notice if i turned up sound too quickly, it popped up a 'protect' message on the screen, I'm not sure - that may be the way I wired the speakers (may need to make the stripped portion shorter so there is less exposed cable, possibly have a short as-is). I've now been playing consistently at a 'soft' but comfortable volume of about 21, and what I've been loving about it, is with the speakers off the floor (and no bass speaker) the sounds seems to stay in the room I'm in and not travel to other rooms in the house as easily - less disturbing others, more privacy). While I am not certain what the price of the system is, for what I paid for it no question it was a good find. If you see me checking 'no' to i would recommend it to a friend, that is just me saying that in general, I do not personally recommend products to friends (though, it has happened on occasion; but never 'out of the blue' selling to someone).

Good stereo receiver. Has bluetooth but no WIFI . Also its a 2 channel unit with no dedicated sub out. There is a way around that though so you can possibly add a sub provided your sub has a crossover and speaker wire "ins". This stereo also has a phono input. Connects to my phone within 3 seconds. And i can turn on the sony with my phone.
