Love this amp. Setup my old system with Sony Turntable and ADS L810 speakers. The sound is still amazing! Solid feel on all control knobs. Bluetooth works wonderfully. Clear sound at all ranges. An amazing amp for a bargain price.

My 1994 stereo receiver malfunctioned, so after seeing the amazing reviews, purchased this. Plugged my old speakers in & was very happy w/ the sound! Unfortunately read in the manual 6 or 8ohm speakers & lo & behold mine are 4ohm & apparently that could make the unit overheat, so after reading reviews, bought the Sony SSCS5 speakers which are great as well. I suspect I probably could have gotten away w/ continuing to use my 4ohm speakers w/ this; but "experts" on YouTube said it could shorten the life of the stereo receiver. So there 'ya have it, folks! Oh, just one more thing-LOVE that you don't need a separate pre-amp to plug in turntable. It comes built in.

This likely the best possible receiver you can buy for up to 3-4 times the price. It does everything perfectly, including bluetooth. It has a strong phono preamp. Specs are good. Performance is great. Clean, clear, and crisp without coloration. Everything is spot-on. I use calibrated DBX speakers and have more than 20 years experience in professional audio engineering and production. It's not McIntosh performance or really even close, but it's also not McIntosh price. It is really, really good for the money and all most of us could want for everyday home use.

Purchased this receiver to replace an old surround sound receiver I no longer used for TV that was using just for music. I use both A and B speaker selection as I use it for indoor and outdoor music. FM stations come in crystal clear. Has plenty of power for both sets of speakers. Built in Blutooth works great with no issues. Remote is easy to use and laid out well. I tried to plug my turntable into the phono input and it sounded terrible. Found out it must have an amp built into it. Plugged it into the input 1 port and it sounded great. I love it my only complaint and it is VERY small is that you really have to turn the travel on the volume knob for it to change much. One complete rotation is like going up from volume level 5 to 8.

It is a simple 2 Channel amp that does what is is supposed to do. Phono/Bluetooth/Line all work great. it has a simple "bass/treble" EQ and impedance settings and that is it in terms of settings. Only minor complaint is the antenna they provide for FM radio wasn't sufficient to get decent reception. That could be specific to my location though.

That's great to hear, ChristopherA! We're glad you're happy with your purchase. As for the antenna, the availability of stations depend on your location and also how you set up your antenna. Had 50 yo 20th century KLH system which has been on its last legs for 10 years!! The Sony Receiver has good FM reception and I was able to connect my old Dual turntable to the phono inputs with no need for a preamp. I like the 21st centry addition of Bluetooth which is easy to connect, and when your Bluetooth audio device is on it connects instantly and turns the stereo on automatically. It is only 2 channel so it is not for those who wish full specturm audio, but I can listen in the kitchen with my celling speakers and/or in the dinning room with my KLH speakers which still do work after 50 years.

This Sony receiver is a gem. No problems whatsoever with setup and pairs well with the Sony SSCS5 bookshelf speakers in the same family. I currently have it hooked up to a vintage turntable for phono, and after connecting the grounding wire from the turntable, the playback is stellar. The Bluetooth connection is strong and pairs quickly with my phone as well, when I'm streaming. Great price for this kind of receiver.

I had a Kenwood receiver from the 1970s and a pair of Rectilinear Mini 3 speakers that I lost in a house fire last year. This was the closest I could find in performance to that at a reasoable price. It accepts Bluetooth input and has a remote. I mated it to a pair of Sony bookshelf speakers. The speakers are a bit smaller but they sound great. I can hear the bass just fine and I didn't need to feel the base so no sub woofer. I just wanted an old school stereo. I ran my TV RCA output to the stereo so I can have enhanced sound when I want. If you want fancy surround then get a home theater receiver but I got this out of box for $120 and it had only been removed from the box and then put back in. Everything works and not a scratch was on it. The FM antenna is a bit funky but it works and I don't need space in the back for a bulky ferrite antenna. You can get more features with the China brands but this looks great with my TV and it looks, feels and performs quality. There is phono input and a couple of auxillary inputs. It runs two sets of speakers switchable A, B, or A and B. It has a line out so you could run a powered sub woofer I guess but not sure how the L R channels would merge to do that. I would have liked a mid range tone control but the bass and treble adjusted for my ears.

Plenty of power. Bluetooth picks up all around the floor it's on. It's a pity the unit doesn't also have bass and treble knobs. That's only on the remote. The biggest shame is that it doesn't have an AM radio which I would use for sports games. I'll have to buy an AM radio and send the output to the unit.

This receiver gives a lot of bang for the buck, it more than adequately powers two sets of Polk speakers in my living room and, best of all, it has a phono input so I can listen to my albums. Many new receivers do not provide this feature. I highly recommend this Sony receiver. My only dislike regarding the receiver is where the speaker wires connect, they must be pushed in and held while attempting to insert the wires into the small holes, it is not easy.
