Fit in just right. Not to many units on the market that still have rca and are backwards compatible with older pieces.

Only reason I docked it a star is that its bluetooth capability is incoming only - you can't use it to transmit to wireless bluetooth speakers. Everything it is capable of doing, though, it does well. Nice to have the phono preamp included!

I feel bad complaining about the price, but I think it could use a few more features, even at its current MSRP. Great entry-level unit for stereo listening. A and B outputs are nice to play around with. The build is fine, plastic knobs feel cheap. - The old-school wire clips that Sony keeps insisting on are still as messy as ever - no integrated streaming (yes it has Bluetooth, but that's lossier) - no woofer out that last point is what makes me regret the purchase most of all. I'll replace it soon.

The speaker receptacle is compatible with the commonly use speaker wire gauge. I'd recommend using right speaker wires that are between 12 to 16 gauge.
Yes there is no subwoofer out, but you can connect a compatible active subwoofer to this receiver. For compatible subwoofer, check the subwoofer to determine if it has IN and OUT speaker wire connections. If so, connect the left and right speaker wires from the stereo receiver into the left and right speaker IN on the subwoofer. Then, connect speaker wire from the left and right speaker OUT on the subwoofer to the left and right main speakers. If the subwoofer does not have IN and OUT speaker wire connections, then it will not be compatible with the stereo receiver. Hope this helps!

It has been a great choice for use with my two turntable setups - nice versatility for inputs and clean output to speakers.

If you want better stereo separation than inexpensive soundbars can provide this receiver is a good first step. It lacks binding posts for the speakers, but the wire clips it has are serviceable.

Good Microwave and vent system

However, it turns on the t.v. sound (not picture) in the middle of the night. I've asked how to correct this, but nobody can give me a good answer.

This unit does not have HDMI ARC feature for CEC function to automatically turn on/off the connected TV. You may check the settings of your TV. Please try to perform power reset to isolate the issue:
