When I pulled my old receiver/amplifier out of the closet, I found that the phono input was not working. I tried some simple fixes, but to no avail. I decided to upgrade to a modern receiver/amplifier, so I began my search on Best Buy's website. The only receiver in my price range that even had a phono input was the Sony. In addition, it had Bluetooth connectivity and enough additional inputs to allow me to hook up all my input devices! I am even able to use the front input jack to plug in my piano keyboard and it sounds awesome through the system. I get to listen to my records again, connect my Bluetooth devices, run my TV audio through the stereo, and play my keyboard! I am very pleased with this receiver/amplifier!!

It is very straightforward to setup. Great inexpensive stereo receiver. If you are looking for a two-channel stereo setup with the capability of using a blue tooth connection or a turntable (without a built-in phono preamp), then this should suit your needs. I replaced an out-of-date AV receiver with this (I only needed a stereo setup). I use it with relatively nice bookshelf speakers and I think the speakers you use with this amp make a much bigger difference than the actual quality of the amp itself.

This stereo receiver is incredible! It was terribly easy to set up and effortlessly connects to all of my Bluetooth devices. For the cost, it cannot be beaten.

Great amp! Supports Bluetooth and sounds great. The remote included works really well, doesn't need to be pointed directly at the amp to send a signal. Great design too, visually.

This receiver had such excellent reviews for the price point & did not disappoint! I’ve had 4 in wall Polk audio speakers in my living room for 5 years not working because my ex husband took the receiver when he moved out. It felt daunting to figure it out but with the help of YouTube & Best Buy electronic techs I now have beautiful surround sound again :) I figure it’s possible real sound quality nerds might find this lacking but for a simple and easy hook up the sound is perfect. Bluetooth is reliable & I couldn’t be happier.

seems to work as advertised.I was worried there wouldnt be enough wattage for playing music. But it seems to shake e the house . I especially like the designated phono ports and the ability to hook up two set of speakers. Remote control works well.

I've put together a few stereo component systems over the (many) years and have listened to several friend's very high-end systems. This can't match them but read on. I was really looking for a new integrated amp rather than a receiver for a rec room/office system but kept coming back to this unit based on features and value even though I'll never use the tuner section. On sale, I purchased this for $1.50 per amp. You just can't beat that for SONY reliability & quality. It's not high end and it doesn't have surround sound/home theater features or even a sub-out, but if you want to listen to music, especially higher quality inputs like vinyl records that are not over Bluetooth or compressed files, the 100 watts per channel @ 8 Ohm is as much as you'll need. Put your saved money into a pair of good passive speakers and you will be very pleased. I'm also using this unit as my pre-amp to create needle-drops of all my vinyl records and it's less expensive than a standalone DAC/pre-amp for that purpose and you don't need a turntable with USB to get it done. Put a piece of masking tape over the SONY nameplate and play it for your friends with more expensive components. They'll think you're brilliant.

One of the better options for something that’s affordable, but still maintains some of the features and frequency strength that other more expensive receivers offer. I would definitely recommend this receiver to people who don’t have much experience with sound systems or who are just trying to set up a rather simple home stereo setup. Easy to operate, fairly simple to hook up speakers to the receiver, it even has a phono port/built in preamp for a turntable/record player!

Excellent system. Easy to connect to my turntable and love that blue tooth feature so I don't have to have a separate speaker.

Can't argue with the price. I was expecting it to be all plastic for the price, but it's got some weight to it. It does have plenty of power and the Bluetooth works well. The volume button is really stiff, I'm assuming that is intentional so you don't bump it up too fast? Phono preamp works fine. Plenty of inputs really. You can relabel the inputs, but just one letter, not sure if that helps. The only drawback I've seen is that the speaker clips are pretty cheap. I have 12 gauge speaker wire that doesn't fit into them actually. I just bought a $80 Fosi amp that has banana plugs on it, the clips on these are where they cut costs.

Nice stereo receiver. The only complaint has to do with the FM antenna plug. It is unique to Sony and apparently used on other product. To use an outside antenna with a 75 ohm coax, You will need a 300 ohm to 75 ohm transformer. They only cost about $3 so it is no big deal. Other than that, the receiver works great. I like the strong Bluetooth connectivity and it has a button on the remote to easily connect.

Easy bluetooth pairing, crystal clear and punchy sound, loud enough for an indoor karaoke party with just two bookshelf speakers and a passive sub. I guarantee you will not find a new amp that's better than this for the price. Be careful with handling as these are known to break if bumped or dropped. The bass is a bit on the boomy and fatiguing side for extended listening if you don't use a powered subwoofer. There is a small bit of background hiss but you wont notice it unless you have it paused.

There is no much I can say about this amp since it has been consistently highly-rated by its buyers or users. It gives what I want at this price: bluetooth, phono, A+B speakers, FM radio which is adequate in today's telecommunication conditions, even headphone input. The only trouble for me is the connection with speakers and I expect Sony to switch the current type to the banana one.

No frills receiver for listening to stereo music without all the extra unnecessary channels and surround sound. There's an input jack in front for using an iPod. I also use it for listening to CDs and sometimes for watching movies with my TV hooked up to it. More than powerful enough for my needs as I don't turn up the volume very loud. Good enough for two bookshelf speakers.

Purchased this to replace an old stereo that finally gave up the ghost. I wanted something with a Bluetooth input and several inputs to support all my legacy equipment and this met my needs and for a great price. If there were one thing I would have liked is to not have the headphone jack cut off the speakers. I am hearing impaired and sometime like to listen to with headphones when doing so my wife is unable to enjoy the music as when you plug in the headphone jack it cuts off the speaker output.
