This is my first Audio Receiver to ever purchase. I have trusted Sony to handle other electronic and technology needs of mine and they have never failed so I decided to go with a receiver and speaker setup through them! This receiver was easy to setup and get my music and movies going through! I like the Pure Audio function which overrides the EQ changes you set in place instead of needing to adjust your Bass and Treble settings. The Bluetooth has connected and worked every time without fail and the headphone jack powers all of the headphones I have plugged into it. I would highly recommend this!

My older Sony receiver/amp bit the dust after thirty plus years of use. Since I also aged during that same time, I decided I didn't need anything super fancy or powerful and decided on this unit. Well, it sounds better than my deceased Sony unit ever did, and it has Bluetooth. I also purchased an attachment for playing music from a usb drive. I was also able to connect my older Sony cd player with no problem at all. Very pleased with this purchase.

My old Sony stereo receiver finally failed after 25 years. I bought this as a cheap replacement. I should have replaced it years ago. The sound is better throught the same speakers and the new features make it a valuable addition. I still use FM radio a lot, so it's nice to see it included in this age of digital audio. I haven't tried the Bluetooth yet but I do have a large collection MP3's I will have to try. Also, I may just dust off the phonograph to listen to the vinyl records that I still own.

I'm 55 so have had many an audio receiver over the years. Since most of the music I listen to is from my PC or iPad, I've been considering an audio receiver with bluetooth and this one far exceeds my expectation. The bluetooth pairs up flawlessly and I love the ability to adjust bass and treble from the remote. I originally bought this on sale for our enclosed patio for $99 and loved it so much I bought another for my computer room. May even end up ditching our old Kenwood receiver in our livingroom for another one of these. The Sony STRDH190 simply can't be beat for price, ease of use, and audio quality. FM receiption isn't the best but not a dealbreaker for me since I don't isten to radio anymore.

I bought this to power my AT120X turntable. It's about as simple as it gets for a stereo receiver but for its purpose there's no need to over-complicate it. The remote is really handy for making basic EQ changes on-the-fly while listening. I actually prefer the phono preamp on the receiver vs. the one on the more expensive turntable. Only thing I wish it had was a sub out but at this price point I can't complain.

Was looking for a replacement receiver that had a Phono option for turntables with a ground. This was it! Only 2 channels, but that's what stereo means! Bluetooth is definitely a bonus for when I just want to connect a phone/device. Also, only $150! Great deal for a great piece of equipment from an extremely reputable brand in Sony. You'll never find anything this quality for this price anywhere else.

Not a ton of features, but I didn't buy it for that either. Bought to power the outdoor speakers on the deck and around the pool area as a separate zone. For what it is, it works great. Bluetooth is fast and has decent range - now we can have music playing inside and control the outside music independently. It s a great "basic" amplifier that sounds decent and has plenty of power for what we need.

I got this receiver to use with an outdoor sound system. I wanted something simple and not break the bank . Hooked up Klipsch outdoor speakers , covered it in plexiglass to give it some protection from the elements here in the summer months , it’s also under a overhang , so not directly exposed to sun and rain. Bluetooth is seem less. Works perfectly with Alexa dot and my phone, preset radio stations, etc and puts out excellent sound to my outdoor speakers! This was a good purchase and perfect for my needs for a kickass stereo system in my backyard oasis!

Nice clean design. Was easy to input my turntable and CD deck, but the speaker inputs are a bit a shallow and so the wires did not go in all the way. Build quality seems good enough. The sound is OK. Sony used to make cutting edge electronics - this model is not. The remote is comfortable to hold, and has an easy to read and use layout. I do not care for the FM wire antenna, which does not an adequate job of pulling in the the weaker signals from local stations, no matter how it is positioned. These days you are lucky to get 5-7 years tops from anything, so I will take a wait and see attitude.

Very nice unit, at a good price. The stereo sound is real good and clear, the amplifier inputs work well. However, I would like the name of a good pre-amp that works well with this one and has RCA outputs to go in to the Sony Amplifier. I like how you can label the different inputs for whatever they are. The remote is a real plus and makes the operation so much more fluid and simple. Maybe someday I will use the Bluetooth app that's built in, but I don't like wireless, so that's unlikely.

Hi SONYAMP, Thank you for this amazing and detailed review of your STRDH190. We're glad you like the overall sound quality, user-friendly remote control functions, and the ability to label the different inputs. An equalizer needs to be connected to the tape monitor loop on an AV receiver in order to operate. The current line of Sony® receivers does not have a tape monitor loop. For this reason, it is not possible to connect an add-on equalizer/preamp to current Sony AV receivers. Hope this helps. -Sam Sony_US
