Has good range and power. Best part is that you can connect outside by connecting to the Bluetooth and it auto turns on. No remote needed! It’s pretty big for a 2 speaker amp, only drawback is it’s size. Otherwise pretty happy with it so far for the price.

Perfect for outside

It finally died. This is perfect - inexpensive and can connect to Alexa and all of our phones. Since we are spending a ton of time outside around the pool during social distancing, it is wonderful to have our music back out there.

It’s a great value for 100 watts per channel of power. The remote includes controls for bass and treble adjustments “from your couch.” It includes a phono input for a turntable.

The receiver has everything you could need and connects quick if you use Bluetooth. The quality of sound is surprisingly high, which at first I was skeptical due to the lower price. But crank these speakers up and they do not disappoint.

Good stereo receiver for the money.

I needed it to power some built in speakers indoors and another set outdoors. There are 2 sets of speaker outputs which was perfect. It has a Bluetooth input so it’s easy to stream music off my iPhone or for SiriusXM streaming. For the money it’s a good receiver. I recommend it.

Bang for buck

Bluetooth is fast and flawless. My only complaint is the cheap spring speaker clips, but not enough to deduct a star. You have to speak 10x more to get something significantly better

The other features are very basic, no knob to set you’re fm channel no am thin wire for antenna , you change station by a tracking plus long switch, you should be able to set station but mine did not come with English instructions and there is pre set station but all static , But I bought it for my records and that works wonderfully

Should be priced in the $500 range for what you get. Sound quality leans toward the lively top end and solid, solid bass. Speaker paring will matter. I paired this with Mirage OM7 speakers and it was magic. This is a warm sounding speaker overall. Vocals amazing. I found this receiver sounds better than anything from Yamaha, Marantz, and Denon. I know, pretty bold statement to make but I stand by it. It could not quite match my older Hk3400 receiver which had a fuller, richer sound, especially in the bottom end. If I didn't do a side by side I wouldn't have missed the HK. I wish Sony would do three things: raise the price to $200-$250 and include a USB flash drive input, add a couple of HDMI inputs, and replace the spring clips with banana plugs for the speakers terminals. Other than that this is the best value receiver today, even at its current price. Period! Well done Sony.

Ok for the money

Speaker connections on rear are too small and somewhat flimsy; one broke on trying to connect banana plug to it. Since it had room for A and B speakers, I just use one now. Manual is a little too difficult for me to understand.

Simply awesome if you don't need it to pull fm.

When you turn on your phone bluetooth it automatically turns on unit and vice versa. With 100 watt speakers it absolutely cranks. Ability to pull fm channels without static is a 5 out of 10. But I bluetooth everything anyway.

flashes on the display panel, select monaural audio to lessen the sound distortion. Press AMP MENU, and then press / and to select “FM MODE” – “MONO”. To return to the stereo mode, select
“STEREO”.
You can also improve the FM reception by the following below:
Adjust the position of the supplied FM wire antenna (aerial) to a place where the reception condition is good.
Place the antenna near a window.
Position the antenna as horizontally as possible.

Using for listening to vinyl, so I needed something that could accept phono. The range of sound is perfectly fine, and I like that it is very simple. The remote that comes with it has a lot of features. This receiver is nice, and a good value.

Bluetooth was pretty easy to add. Stereo does not have a subwoofer or preamp hook up, but I am still able to add my powered NHT subwoofer to this system. This receiver does have a hook up and ground for your turntable. Great sound for the price.

I have it hooked up to my PC through bluetooth and it turns itself on when my PC is started up.

I ran this receiver through my tv and Bose 901 speakers which require huge power. I am under powering it with this 2 channel receiver. Nevertheless the sound is still incredible. My only wish is that this receiver had a loudness switch to hit the strong bass. It’s the best for the price and features

That I'll quickly add was the only misgiving I have about this unit. Other than that it's a solid no-frills unit with great sound. Set-up is extremely straightforward with the directions complete and easy. At the price you (literally) would be hard pressed to find better.

The Sony 2.0 fit my needs perfectly. It was easy to program and sync up (Bluetooth) with music on my IPhone. The ONLY drawback for me was that my previous stereo receiver had two outlets and this has none.
