great budget system

My Onkyo was acting weird and it was time to retire her, this was a great choice and unbeatable at this price point. It sounds good and has plenty of power and a built in preamp for those with a turntable.

It's purely analog; no digital inputs or outputs on this thing, but that's what DACs are for. Nice phono stage and an FM tuner. Probably the reason for the less than perfect rating is the lack being able to precisely manually tune to your stations. Instead I have to rely on auto scanning to lock on. It doesn't always do that.

Just needed a receiver with Bluetooth to connect to the wall posts. This unit and a little speaker wire (not included; wish it was) works perfectly. Basically plug and play. Speaker wire install is easy and Bluetooth setup is too.

I didn't realize how great Bluetooth was until I linked this stereo to my Firestick and powered up my 4 18 inch Technics speakers. They shake the house. The power is AWESOME. Great job Sony.

It makes the sound quality of the TV shows much clearer. I also like th Blue Tooth connectivity from my Cell Phoone.

Suitable for a first time stereo buyer who doesn't want to spend $$$$$ for high end stereo. Can hook up just about everything from a turntable to tape deck. You can even use it with your TV. The Bluetooth features is pretty cool, I use it with my portable devices for listen to music. Worth the money.

It does only a few things but does them very well. Bluetooth is excellent. But the whole reason to get this is for the phone input. For the price, it's a no brainer for a beginner setup that is respectable.

Yes, they had to sell it AT a profit to stay in business But they wanted to prove that technology has something good for anyones budget. This IS only a “Stereo” receiver (not 9 or more channels) and has only 100 watts per channel, with them Both running @ the same time; with a very good FM tuner/radio; plus some on board digital processing and includes a name brand to back it up for two years....I know of no other that comes with this and IS well built, solid features, good looking and affordable as this is...I forgot, this has a phono preamp (for using a Turntable/for vinyl records) Who said it’s an entry level component? I’ve shopped to only to find out that I would pay 2-3 Times the price of this one, to only gain few useful features at $400-500! I thought if this is the case, On the technical and practical side, only your application for this could be of question. For some outrageous reason/issue, it doesn’t works out, there are many other places this will just make you smile, for a very long time. Bust Buy is your Value and cost leader (So Don’t get lost) P.M.L.
