Great quality starter receiver.

I have four speakers hooked up and it operates just fine. Sound quality is better then expected.

I have it paired with two outdoor speakers. The Bluetooth range is great! The range exceeded my expectations. The one thing I don’t like is that when connected to Bluetooth, you can turn your device (phone, tablet) all the way up but the receiver caps at 70-75%. You can have the receiver go higher but you have to do it by turning the knob or using the remote. It’s a little annoying since I am mostly in my yard using my phone. When paired with great speakers, this unit is great!

I would suggest turning up the volume on the receiver itself i you don't want to switch between turning up the volume on your Bluetooth device and the supplied remote control.

Easy setup, sounds great hooked up to my surround sound in my living room. Just wish it had more ways of connectivity but for the price and the fact that it’s Sony, I’m happy with my purchase. Simple and sounds great but with Bluetooth issue.

Sounds great with my Bose speaker setup and Techincs turntable. I do have an odd issue when streaming Bluetooth to it though. When streaming to it from either a MacBook or my new Mac-mini, it will make a pop-scratch noise whenever it starts a new track or anything starting new and sometimes it will play like it has a lag effect where it sounds like its playing at a slower rate in the mud. I don't know what it is, other than that, I have no issues. I only bought this over the Yamaha R-S202BL because of the phono input.

We're glad that you like the sound quality of the receiver. It's unfortunate that you are not having a complete experience because of Bluetooth issues. Pair the receiver again with the Bluetooth devices. If there are obstructions between the receiver and your BLUETOOTH device, remove them or move the receiver and/or device to avoid them. If there is a device that generates electromagnetic radiation, such as a wireless LAN, other BLUETOOTH devices, or a microwave oven nearby, move it away. Turn down the volume of the connected BLUETOOTH device. Resetting the receiver may also help resolve both issues:
1. Press (power) to turn off the receiver.
2. Press and hold (power) for 5 seconds. “CLEARING” appears on the display panel during initialization. When initialization is complete, “CLEARED ” appears on the display panel.
Note: It takes a few seconds for the memory to be cleared completely. Do not turn the receiver off until “CLEARED ” appears on the display panel.

Great Entry Level Stereo Receiver

Beware, however, that wired connectivity is limited to RCA connectors (e.g., no HDMI, optical, etc.), so if you plan on connecting it to a TV, you will have to purchase a whatever your TV’s audio output connector to RCA cable.

It was EXACTLY what I needed to replace my 50 year-old Receiver. I have 4 components and the 4 Inputs accommodated these components PERFECT. I LOVE the remote and the ability to change the display name of each of the 4 Inputs. The ability to connect my phone via Bluetooth was the icing on the cake!
