Grey metallic would have been preferable and easier to read the button lettering. Classical music sounds great through my old trusty Bose loudspeakers. There is some heat build-up underneath, but the manual explains - it's normal. This Sony Receiver replaces Yamaha tuner, amplifier, tape player, 5CD player stack that was purchased at Circuit City 30 years ago!

Audio quality is great for the price. Perfect simple 2ch receiver so happy my wife and I picked this up. We use it to power our outdoor speakers. If you’re considering picking this thing up this is your sign just do it. This thing is great!

I wanted a simple two channel pre-amp/amp with FM tuner to drive bookshelf speakers and also accept phono input, CD, and DVD sound. This does all that with acceptable performance at incredibly reasonable cost. The phono input is high-output moving coil and it works fine.

Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I'm very pleased with this amplifier/ receiver, it has great clarity, and input flexibility: 4 inputs, a phono input, and bluetooth connectivity. It has a remote too which is awesome. I'm listening to it through a nice pair of Bose speakers, so that helps. I wish it had the option to adjust the bass, treble, balance etc. at the unit itself, those features are only accessible with the remote. A very good sounding amp for its price, I recommend.

awesome receiver
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.i enjoyed using this receiver. i use it to run with my Sony STR-DN1080 in conjunction to power another Zone regularly. the sound quality was phenomenal. i am a very proud owner of both Sony receivers. i could not be any happier. when it comes to buying receivers or amplifiers i always buy Sony because they are higher end and the sound quality is awesome. in conclusion, the higher end, the better.
