Better sound than the one we had before, this new model comes with bluetooth , now my wife can stream audio from her phone. The sound is excellent for just a 2.0 channels.

Great receiver for bluetooth and vinyl

Also, the bluetooth works great! I've tried every adapter available for my old stereo and none of them even hold a candle to the reliability and quality of the signal I get to this device.

An outstanding starter stereo receiver.

It also has a very odd FM antenna connector. Otherwise, it is an excellent stereo system for the money-plenty of power, features inputs, and a phono input! Very happy with purchase overall; the Bluetooth is a bonus I haven't tried yet. Heavy, well-made, seems quality!

Easy to set up.

I finally convinced him to upgrade the components. For the money this receive has been great for us. He has a 6 disc changer, TV, and 30 year old speakers hooked up to it. Everything is working and sounding fantastic. He had it set up in under 10 minutes.

Good 100w power,but PURE DIRECT is not remembered

But the SONY is lighter than my Denon amp with just 90wpc, so I had to turn the SONY's level up a bit to get the same decibels. The PURE DIRECT button has to be pressed each time, as SONY does not save this setting after a power cycle, unlike the Denon.

We also appreciate your feedback about the Pure Direct function turning off when the unit goes into power cycle. You can easily turn on the Pure direct function by pressing the Pure Direct button on the receiver or on the remote. Please note: The Pure Direct function will be canceled when you press BASS +/– or TREBLE +/–.

I only needed this for my backyard speakers . Bluetooth is a nice feature . The only reason I gave it 4 stars , I bought the floor model and the box said all components were in the box , well I get it home and the remote was missing . No biggy I ordered a replacement remote from the internet and it works fine .

Great for bluetoothing music to your BIG speakers

I'm using it a a Bluetooth preamp for my Phase Linear 500 amp driving my legacy ESS AMT 2 Rock Monitors in my garage. (My wife won't allow them in the house). Now, I have crystal clear sound from punchy bass to feather light highs at any volume I like...
