Surprisingly powerful for a receiver in this price range. Sounds great paired with Klipcsh 50 M’s. Phono input is a plus but you might consider a separate phone pre amp for more detail.

I own a couple of older turntables and it has been hard to find a receiver that have a phono input that you can plug them into, this one does. They are well built and with great sound. It also comes with a Bluetooth feature that allows you to use your other Blue tooth devices with no problems. The price for this unit is also affordable. A great buy!

I'd buy it again - mostly because there doesn't seem to be anything else on the market that integrates the features I wanted. My old stereo head that had grounds for a record player went kaput, and I wanted something that had the clarity and power that modern wiring brings. But was sure I was going to miss the capability that the old heads all seemed to be built with, that got discarded sometime in the 80's or 90's, of being able to switch between two sets of speakers in two different locations. I was astonished that this product has that. What sealed the deal for me was that it also has bluetooth - now I can have one stereo system to listen to records, stream music from my phone, and connect to my movie set-up, and it powers speakers in both my living room and patio. It's exactly what I would have asked for. The only cons - it's quite big, and needs to not have anything on top of it for the cooling system to work. Also, the bluetooth connection is a little spotty - about 50% of the time it will be totally fine, but it's just as likely to have some sort of interference happening where either your wifi signal will freeze until the bluetooth is disconnected, or the sound will be slowed and pitched down and/or include bits of static. This could conceivably be the fault of the gadgets I connect to it, but it happens with both of them, and neither have had this problem anywhere else. The sound is good. It seems to be very clear, even, and responsive from the very low to the very high range of the spectrum, with very little noise, and all the power I need. Even when I'm running the record player, there is no noticeable electric hum.

Simple 2 channel HiFi that has network capability seem to be disappearing slowly. The rise of big screen tv, flat panels and surround sound, multi-channel audio have relegated the simpler act of listening to music to a back seat. This Sony unit is an exception and a great implementation for music lovers. Song has a sound signature and EQ that I find more pleasing, realistic and sonically accurate than Sonos, Bose, Marantz, Denon or Apple. Yamaha is reasonably close to Sony in this regard but this 2 channel unit recently replaced a similar Yamaha equipped Musicast device and I am very pleased. Great volume, pleasing sound and ease of use is best in class in my opinion. Can’t beat the price. Very pleased with the performance of this unit.

Happy to have a simple receiver. It is up to date by including Bluetooth yet it also has inputs for phono specifically, and you can program the other inputs to your component. It also includes an antenna for the radio. I also enjoy the pure direct button which adds hi-fi. Can’t beat the price either. Overall a great product.

I always do research and wait a month or two before buying things I want, I settled on this Sony Receiver to power the Sony Bookshelf 3 way Speakers This is a pretty good receiver. I thought about buying a 5.1 system but figured since my PC has 5.1 and I already have some other computer speakers (logitechs z313's) I could use the logitechs as back and side channels and this Sony and the sony bookshelf speakers as the primary up front speakers. This receiver does well, I hear no hiss when using it with Bluetooth on my phone, or with my PC through the audio cable. It powers the speakers well. So far it has exceeded my expectations. I am pleased so far with my purchase and have no buyers remorse. So I bought two other Sony things in addition to this receiver, just FYI, these other items work well (the sub was way more bass than I expected) Sony - Core Series 5" 3-Way Bookshelf Speakers (Pair) - Black Sony - Core Series 10" 115W Active Subwoofer - Black

I bought this stereo receiver last year and I love it! The sound quality that it produces is amazing! I’m currently using it in my garage (man-cave) and it is an excellent option if you want a good quality stereo receiver at a good price. Even though it is technically a 2.1 channel receiver but it has inputs for 4 speakers and if you enable channels A and B, you can actually enjoy 4 speakers instead of just 2. The Bluetooth feature comes in crystal clear as well as the other inputs. Highly recommend!!

I can’t recommend this receiver enough! I did some research online prior to getting a new record player and thought I didn’t need one but when my speakers and player arrived I realized I needed it. I’ve since also bought a cd player and it has enough inputs to play them both and more. It also allows me to hook up my phone or iPad for Bluetooth and play from streaming services. I haven’t tested the volume limits on the high end because it plays loud enough. Couldn’t be happier to buy this and well worth the money. Also staff at the Best Buy were amazing in helping me buy this and other items I needed to connect it!

I was looking to replace a 30-year old receiver to go with my 20-year old KLH floor speakers with hard wiring. The Bluetooth music input to the receiver works flawlessly and the 100W per channel power my KLHs provide a rich sound experience. I couldn't be happier with the purchase.

Awesome receiver for $150.00 I was very skeptical at first,I am an avid music listener,Blue tooth connection worked flawlessly, I put an addition off my home and installed ceiling speakers (4) with a powered sub woofer. I can't tell you how elated I am with the sound it produces (and believe me ,I like it loud and full) 2.0 channel delivers music the way it is made to be heard. The only thing I didn't quite like and it"s minimal.. is that if your listening at loud levels and you go to turn down volume on smart phone/device... is that the volume drops dramatically . Like from 69-70 level (full blast) .to 50 on volume level. But if you use the remote that is included you can avoid this small problem. and to sum things up, I like it sooooo much that I bought a second one for my garage .

Can’t beat this receiver for about a 150.00. Lots of clean power. Easy to set up and use.Had a little difficulty connecting my tv… but all you need is a plain 3.5 mm aux cable. It’s has a remote control and connects to blue tooth effortlessly. Oh.. and it has a phono output for your turntable with a ground wire to reduce interference and a gain to optimize the volume to other sources.

The best feature is the collection of multiple stereo input jacks, including one that matches the impedance of my 1970's era phonograph turntable. Other standard inputs support my CD player, DVD/VHS combo recorder (which I also use to "forward" stereo sound from my cable TV box to my 1970's era speaker columns when watching movies). The remote control allows me to control volume or change inputs from my seat. The bluetooth channel is a nice extra that lets my stream my MP3 collection stored on my cellphone into those speaker columns. The FM tuner is less used these days, but still nice to have to listen to the local high-school run alternate/classic rock station.

Needed a replacement for an old Pioneer with an option to connect via Bluetooth, as well as use a CD player and 80s Technics turntable. Pairs well with multiple devices via bluetooth. Sounds good to my earsI paired with early 80s Panasonic speakers. Simple; drives my analog and digital enough for my room. No complaints after almost a year. Now I just need a Sony Walkman for bopping around. Like a tape Walkman.

This is a great receiver! You gets lots of features and excellent sound quality for a reasonable price! The bluetooth works great with my phone for streaming services, and I also use it for my record player, and CD changer which both sound amazing as well! The FM tuner is also nice to have, with 30 presets, though you can only program 3 channels on the remote which is odd, but I don't listen to FM that often anyways. I'm also not sure why they didn't include an AM radio tuner either, which is strange. However, I mainly got this for playing records, cd's, and streaming which all work, and sound really well on this receiver, and at a great price!

I have been a fan of Sony products for many years. This receiver meets my needs well. I am using the receiver for my home gym so I only need two channels. It has plenty of power for loud and clean sound and enough inputs and outputs to connect all of the sources I use. I especially like the phono input so I can play LPs without a phono adapter. My phone links up reliably through bluetooth to play music while I use my phone's other functions. The remote is handy and also controls a Blue Ray player connected to the receiver. I only wish that there was a powered USB port in the front panel to charge up the phone while playing, since the USB port on the back panel does not provide power.
