Great sounding receiver with Bluetooth
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I replaced an old Pioneer receiver with this Sony and so far very happy with it. Yes, it is basic but for me the Bluetooth option was essential and good clear sound an added bonus. I already had Sony floor speakers so it is all now nicely tied together. Price was great also.

Great Stereo Receiver
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Purchased this receiver to replace an old surround sound receiver I no longer used for TV that was using just for music. I use both A and B speaker selection as I use it for indoor and outdoor music. FM stations come in crystal clear. Has plenty of power for both sets of speakers. Built in Blutooth works great with no issues. Remote is easy to use and laid out well. I tried to plug my turntable into the phono input and it sounded terrible. Found out it must have an amp built into it. Plugged it into the input 1 port and it sounded great. I love it my only complaint and it is VERY small is that you really have to turn the travel on the volume knob for it to change much. One complete rotation is like going up from volume level 5 to 8.

Awesome Receiver!
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a great receiver! You gets lots of features and excellent sound quality for a reasonable price! The bluetooth works great with my phone for streaming services, and I also use it for my record player, and CD changer which both sound amazing as well! The FM tuner is also nice to have, with 30 presets, though you can only program 3 channels on the remote which is odd, but I don't listen to FM that often anyways. I'm also not sure why they didn't include an AM radio tuner either, which is strange. However, I mainly got this for playing records, cd's, and streaming which all work, and sound really well on this receiver, and at a great price!

Good receiver
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Good quality receiver. I use this in my pole barn while working on equipment. It has blutooth streaming, which is what i need for Spotify play lists. My old Yamaha died and only one channel was working. This sounds good enough for what i use it for and was reasonably priced. I dont need 7.2 Dolby out there.

Great receiver
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. What a great receiver/amp! Plenty of input allowed for record player (with special plug in that seems to improve the sound), cd, and dual tape decks. Simply has all one needs for a home stereo receiver/amp (including Bluetooth!). Highly recommend this equipment. Lives up to the Sony name!

It's a Sony
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had this receiver for almost a year now and I love it. It was very affordable and is perfectly matched to my Sony bluetooth turntable. It sounds great connected to my SVS prime satellite 2.1 speaker system. I needed a receiver and this one perfect.

Well done SONY!
||Posted . Owned for 1.5 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. After 2 years of use with the 1979 Technics turntable - this is a fantastic receiver. Well engineered, well assembled. It delivers fantastic sound, well balanced across frequency bandwidth. with up to 100W per channel it has enough horsepower. Amazing to travel back to 1970s listening experience. Its is important to follow up impedance settings according to the speakers specification. And it is very easy to do,

Excellent quality and value
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have been a fan of Sony products for many years. This receiver meets my needs well. I am using the receiver for my home gym so I only need two channels. It has plenty of power for loud and clean sound and enough inputs and outputs to connect all of the sources I use. I especially like the phono input so I can play LPs without a phono adapter. My phone links up reliably through bluetooth to play music while I use my phone's other functions. The remote is handy and also controls a Blue Ray player connected to the receiver. I only wish that there was a powered USB port in the front panel to charge up the phone while playing, since the USB port on the back panel does not provide power.

PROFESSIONAL NASHVILLE SESSION SINGER/SONGWRITER S
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.LOVE THIS RECEIVER. EASY TO USE AND SOUNDS GREAT. I ALSO LIKE THE FACT THAT YOU CAN PLAY BOTH A AND B SPEAKERS TOGETHER. I'VE GOT A LATGER SET OF OPTIMUS SPEAKERS WITH A 10" WOOFER AS WELL AS A NEW SET OF KLIPSCH 5 1/4" WOOFER. NOT ONLY DO THESE SPEAKERS SOUND GREAT TOGETHER, THE SONY HAS ALL THE POWER TO ACCOMPLISH THIS GREAT SOUND.

||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Replaced a 35 year old unit. Sounds great the power is good. Like everything, replacement of knobs and sliders with menu driven functions is manageable but not necessarily optimal.

A GREAT Budget Receiver Option!
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. For the price point, it's really hard to beat this for a home turntable set-up. I run 4 speakers (2 bookshelf speakers and 2 subs) through this, and also have a tv running through it. The ease of turning off the subs when watching something like sports or news on tv with the press of a button is a nice feature. It won't replace an equalizer if you're trying to tune your sound (I run a seperate equalizer through it since I'm a jazz record guy and I like to be precise with sound), but it offers a solid out of the box sound. Volume output is surprisingly loud and clear if you like to crank up the music like I do.

Best 2 channel Phono Receiver
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. If you're still trying to decide between this one, or the Yamaha or Insignia receiver, just stop. This is the one. I needed this receiver to power a pair of 100 watt Sony bookshelf speakers I have in my listening room. I also needed a receiver with a Phono input for my record player, Bluetooth, and an Aux port. This receiver MORE than met the challenge. It also has A and B speaker channels, but I'll likely never use that function. In short, this receiver rocks. Great purchase all around.

Affordable price, easy to setup, good sound
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this product based on some features same level of products other brands don´t bring. Phono input is a must when it comes to connecting a turntable and you prefer not to use additional gear. Bluetooth, on the other hand, is also a mist for those who just want to play music at home without the need of standing close to the source of sound. The sound is clear throughout all the frequencies in the spectrum or, at least, at those frequencies my rusty ears still can percieve. I recommend this product.

I like this receiver
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I'll start by saying I'm not an audiophile. I simply needed a replacement amplifier for my stereo system because my old one from the late 80s finally stopped working. It was a Sony too. I like this receiver because it's simple to use and takes Bluetooth and auxiliary inputs unlike my old receiver. The sound to me is at least as good as my old Sony and the price was really good. I'm just using this to play songs in a family room and not trying to build some super fancy movie screening room. For what I needed this for it's worked very nicely over the last six weeks.

Super easy to use, virtually zero setup. Drives 2 Polk 6.5” monitors very well and is loud and clean. Will use in my shop when not at the track. Awesome piece

Great deal in these days of high inflation
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This receiver is priced so low, that it's pretty amazing that Sony can offer it at this price.I even took advantage of a sale price. The receiver uses discrete output transistors, which sound better and more reliable than power pack IC output stages.Even has a phono stage, unlike many receivers today.Sound quality is fine.Maybe an AM section would be a nice addition.Like some people have mentioned, the FM antenna connection isn't great. There should be a normal 75 or 300 ohm connection. Some complain about the speaker connectors, but they are adequate for a receiver at this price.Includes a 2 year parts and labor warranty, which you probably won't need, but with high costs of repair,it's good to have. Not only that, most problems with electronics occur early,so if you get past 2 years, should be few likely problems, until the device gets 10 years or older. So,if all you need is a 2 speaker system and don't want to waste extra money, this should work fine.

||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this to replace my 30 year old Yamaha receiver which finally stopped working. Being in my 70's and not hearing as well as I used to, I figured I would give this a try. Well, I am very pleasantly surprised. My wife and I both think this sounds better than the old very expensive Yamaha. Plus we now have built in bluetooth which we paired to our Echo, and now we just say Alexa play Pandora. We use it as a stereo system in our sunroom and back porch and so far this unit far exceeds our expectations at a very reasonable price. Simple to operate and sounds great. We couldn't ask for anything more.

Good Unit
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Works fine, as advertised. New Bluetooth feature is very cool, as I can even play long, extended music clips on You Tube as nice, soft background music. And some of those are even without ADS! Have my 5 CD Changer hooked up to it, along with a dual cassette player, which I still use. And a great sales price of $200, $50 off list price, a real bargain.
