Posted .Hi Unhappy, We regret to hear you are having an sound level issue with your Sony receiver. Make sure the volume is not set to “VOL MIN”. Please try to press the VOLUME + button all the way up to see if there will be difference with the sound. Check that all connecting cables are inserted to their input/output jacks on the receiver, speakers and the devices. Make sure you have connected to both the L and R jacks of an analog device, as analog devices require both L and R jack connections. Use a stereo audio cable (not supplied).

Works Well for My Purposes

The unit is housed in a closet. I use the bluetooth feature with my iphone and it works pretty well, although the range seems to vary from time to time.

Yet mine had the bluetooth fail after 2 weeks and now at 11 months old it stopped playing audio completely and goes into protection mode constantly. My buddy's has zero issues.

Thank you for the review and we're sorry to hear what happened with your AV receiver. It depends in the speaker setup that you're using. We recommend connecting wired speakers with a nominal impedance of 6 ohms to 16 ohms. When matching speakers and Audio/Video (A/V) receivers, the ohm rating of the speaker should be equal to or greater than the ohm rating of the receiver to avoid a risk of hardware damage. To resolve your protect mode issue, please follow the troubleshooting steps in this article.

Great Receiver Stereo and Bluetooth

It works fine for digital inputs, but the volume for playing records is completely unacceptable. If that's what you are purchasing it for, look elsewhere, or buy a separate phono pre instead.

Not pleased with the experience

The display would not come on. I called customer service for support and was told I would have to return it to a store and purchase another one. I was told I would be receiving a $100 gift card by email because of my inconvenience which made me feel better, however it never came. The system didn't work as expected with my turntable so I returned everything. Overall, I am disappointed in my experience.
