No problems whatsoever with setup and pairs well with the Sony SSCS5 bookshelf speakers in the same family. I currently have it hooked up to a vintage turntable for phono, and after connecting the grounding wire from the turntable, the playback is stellar. The Bluetooth connection is strong and pairs quickly with my phone as well, when I'm streaming. Great price for this kind of receiver.

Simple Amp that does what you need.

Phono/Bluetooth/Line all work great. it has a simple "bass/treble" EQ and impedance settings and that is it in terms of settings. Only minor complaint is the antenna they provide for FM radio wasn't sufficient to get decent reception. That could be specific to my location though.

Many new receivers do not provide this feature. I highly recommend this Sony receiver. My only dislike regarding the receiver is where the speaker wires connect, they must be pushed in and held while attempting to insert the wires into the small holes, it is not easy.

I tried some simple fixes, but to no avail. I decided to upgrade to a modern receiver/amplifier, so I began my search on Best Buy's website. The only receiver in my price range that even had a phono input was the Sony. In addition, it had Bluetooth connectivity and enough additional inputs to allow me to hook up all my input devices! I am even able to use the front input jack to plug in my piano keyboard and it sounds awesome through the system. I get to listen to my records again, connect my Bluetooth devices, run my TV audio through the stereo, and play my keyboard! I am very pleased with this receiver/amplifier!!

Great inexpensive stereo receiver. If you are looking for a two-channel stereo setup with the capability of using a blue tooth connection or a turntable (without a built-in phono preamp), then this should suit your needs. I replaced an out-of-date AV receiver with this (I only needed a stereo setup). I use it with relatively nice bookshelf speakers and I think the speakers you use with this amp make a much bigger difference than the actual quality of the amp itself.

I’ve had 4 in wall Polk audio speakers in my living room for 5 years not working because my ex husband took the receiver when he moved out. It felt daunting to figure it out but with the help of YouTube & Best Buy electronic techs I now have beautiful surround sound again :) I figure it’s possible real sound quality nerds might find this lacking but for a simple and easy hook up the sound is perfect. Bluetooth is reliable & I couldn’t be happier.

Nice stereo receiver

Plugged my old speakers in & was very happy w/ the sound! Unfortunately read in the manual 6 or 8ohm speakers & lo & behold mine are 4ohm & apparently that could make the unit overheat, so after reading reviews, bought the Sony SSCS5 speakers which are great as well. I suspect I probably could have gotten away w/ continuing to use my 4ohm speakers w/ this; but "experts" on YouTube said it could shorten the life of the stereo receiver. So there 'ya have it, folks! Oh, just one more thing-LOVE that you don't need a separate pre-amp to plug in turntable. It comes built in.

I would definitely recommend this receiver to people who don’t have much experience with sound systems or who are just trying to set up a rather simple home stereo setup. Easy to operate, fairly simple to hook up speakers to the receiver, it even has a phono port/built in preamp for a turntable/record player!

For the price you can't go wrong

I was expecting it to be all plastic for the price, but it's got some weight to it. It does have plenty of power and the Bluetooth works well. The volume button is really stiff, I'm assuming that is intentional so you don't bump it up too fast? Phono preamp works fine. Plenty of inputs really. You can relabel the inputs, but just one letter, not sure if that helps. The only drawback I've seen is that the speaker clips are pretty cheap. I have 12 gauge speaker wire that doesn't fit into them actually. I just bought a $80 Fosi amp that has banana plugs on it, the clips on these are where they cut costs.

I purchased this for my son to hook up a speaker that he built. It was super easy and everything was included. The sound is great and we love the remote control. Definitely recommend.
