Just what I needed
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great product for a great price. Yes, there are higher end choices out there, but this fit my needs perfectly. I needed it for a medium sized room to hook up my turntable and CD player. Added some small speakers and it produces! I don’t need the blue tooth capability, so I can’t speak to that. But seems simple enough if I ever do. Lots of inputs if I ever need them. The remote is a plus too.

Great receiver for the budget conscious
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.A low cost, high quality receiver with just enough power for my Polk speakers. The turntable inputs, which are lacking on many high priced receivers, is a plus. And Bluetooth connect is easy so I can listen to my Apple Music from my laptop or phone.

Great Receiver/Amp with Turntable Inputs.
||Posted . Owned for 3 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. What a great stereo receiver/amp. It's a SONY, so you know it's top quality. It is powerful. It has multiple inputs. But the main feature, and the reason I bought it -- was the input for a turntable. Like many of us, we still have our old (or new) turntable, and this unit has the correct input for it.And with BestBuy's deals, the price was just too good to pass up. You can't go wrong with this receiver.

Checked all my boxes
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This checked all the boxes for me. I hooked up 4 ceiling speakers. I wanted blue tooth. I wanted the radio tuner. I wanted the option to add more components. I wanted decent sound. √√√√√. Only downside is the remote is needed for ease of use. We tend to lose remotes.

Replacement for existing component system
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This Sony receiver was a replacement for a 53 year old Sansui 400 with similar specifications, so it would need to fit in with the other components in the existing system. Pro: 1. The instructions gave all of the information needed to set it up (and work properly with the other components). 2. It has sufficient inputs for all of the devices I am using. 3. The remote control was sufficiently functional to be very useful. 4. The sound quality is good. Con: 1. Although the FM works fairly well in a weak signal area with the supplied single wire antenna, it would have been helpful to have also had a 300 ohm and/or 75 ohm external antenna connection. 2. No AM tuner, although this is a minor issue. There are several other Sony components in my system. They have worked well, so I had confidence in purchasing this one too. It is a good "drop in" replacement.

Posted .Hi Audiophile, thank you for the detailed and amazing review of your new Sony STRDH190! Good to know you like that all the necessary information is included, multiple audio inputs, intuitive remote, great sound, and overall features of the unit.
We appreciate your feedback about the FM radio. You can't connect an external FM antenna to your A/V receiver, but you can improve the FM reception.
Adjust the position of the supplied FM wire antenna (aerial) to a place where the reception condition is good.
Place the antenna near a window.
Position the antenna as horizontally as possible.
Hope this helps!

Very sleek and stylish, great connectivity.
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This receiver is very sleek and will blend in extremely will with any modern home. I loved the looks and the Bluetooth connectivity was also excellent. I never lost connection. I also appreciated the phono input. Super easy to use. The sound is just okay. It does have clear sound but the lows are non existent and there is no sub out connection. Technically you can find a sub that would be compatible but overall this is a low end receiver that will be well served by someone that appreciates its design over its sound. The sound isn’t bad, but for an extra $100 you would still be in budget receiver category and could get better sound. I ended up returning this and replacing it with an older Denon that absolutely blows it out do the park. For the price, you can’t expect much more. If you want above average sound, you will have to set your sights elsewhere.

Great Product for Simple Needs
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Sony STRDH190 is a solid performer for a variety of basic home stereo needs. It has 4 L/R audio inputs, plus an additional phono input for turntables with an MM type cartridge. The unit has bare-wire connectors for two sets of speakers, A and B. The setup guide makes it clear that you MUST have speakers connected to the unit before applying power. Without speakers, the amplifier could fail. Permanently. I really like the built-in Bluetooth capability; I can stream music from my phone or computer without a hassle. This unit replaces a 20+ year-old Sony receiver that served me well for a long time. I expect this one to last at least as long.

Really Nice
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. When I looked at price point, functionality, and specs - wow this is a nice receiver. If you need a receiver with Phono in - here you go, this is the one to buy. There are some other brands that are better, but they are a lot farther up the price scale. For a simple turntable and speaker system, this works so nice. It is clean and classic looking. Those other receivers might sound a little bit better - but this one gets the job done.

Great receiver for all applications
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a great receiver that we use for music and karaoke. One of the best features is having Bluetooth technology, which is great for people having the newer iPhone's (as they don't have a headphone jack any longer). I have also hooked up my old record player which sounds amazing coming through this. Naturally this will depend on your speaker setup as well, but worth the money!

Using to stream BT audio to wired speakers
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Using this mostly to stream BT audio (using an internet-connected Echo Show) from the receiver inside to some wired speakers outside in the yard. I can run A and B simulataneously...works great for me! FM reception is good, and the phono input works well. I have had no issues with the Bluetooth. Very satisfied.
