Great Stereo Receiver With a Phonograph Hookup

After my other receiver quit working many years ago, this was nice to have my record player connect to it and have it operating again. It did exactly what I wanted, the Bluetooth functionality is a big plus and I really needed it for the phono capability. The sound is great (sony quality) and the price point cannot be better. I do wish there was a bass output but I ended up making it work the best I could. Overall for the price, brand, and sound I would definitely recommend.

One is that it is Bluetooth capable so I can stream SiriusXM and other apps. The other reason is that it has the ability to operate 2 sets of speakers. I have one set mounted on the back of my house so I can play music while hosting a backyard cookout or just enjoy while grilling my own dinner. The other set of speakers is mounted in my garage so I can listen when working in my shop area.

Sony to replace a 30 year old Yamaha

Grey metallic would have been preferable and easier to read the button lettering. Classical music sounds great through my old trusty Bose loudspeakers. There is some heat build-up underneath, but the manual explains - it's normal. This Sony Receiver replaces Yamaha tuner, amplifier, tape player, 5CD player stack that was purchased at Circuit City 30 years ago!

The phono input works great for my turntable and the standard inputs work great for my CD player. The Bluetooth connection works well but has a bit of an annoying delay when I'm trying to stream movie sound through it from my computer. It's perfect for music though. It would be nice if it had a 3.5mm headphone jack for audio output. It only has what I believe is a 6.35mm size.

Beware of the lame FM antenna connection

I still need an outdoor antenna due to where I live and adapting that horrible set-up to work was a royal pain in the butt. Sony should be ashamed of themselves for cutting that corner. Otherwise it was everything I had expected. Hard to find a receiver with phono pre-amp input.

Adjust the position of the supplied FM wire antenna (aerial) to a place where the reception condition is good.
Place the antenna near a window.
Position the antenna as horizontally as possible.
