I wanted a receiver with a dedicated "phono" input. I have a few turntables, and when I hook them into a more "modern" home theater receiver... (with no phono-had to put it in the CD "in"), it sounds ok? It just has no "punch" or "volume." I even tried a pre amp hook up, but that was all distorted. SO... anyway, this gave me EXACTLY what I was looking for. My records sound fantastic, I also hooked up my CD player, and even a cassette deck. Even though this receiver is somewhat "old school?" It has Bluetooth connectivity, and my phone paired with it instantly. I'm very happy with this receiver, it was priced right (even though I see it for $50 less now!), and I would recommend it highly.. if you're looking for the same things that I was!

Good 100w power,but PURE DIRECT is not remembered

But the SONY is lighter than my Denon amp with just 90wpc, so I had to turn the SONY's level up a bit to get the same decibels. The PURE DIRECT button has to be pressed each time, as SONY does not save this setting after a power cycle, unlike the Denon.

We also appreciate your feedback about the Pure Direct function turning off when the unit goes into power cycle. You can easily turn on the Pure direct function by pressing the Pure Direct button on the receiver or on the remote. Please note: The Pure Direct function will be canceled when you press BASS +/– or TREBLE +/–.

Better sound than the one we had before, this new model comes with bluetooth , now my wife can stream audio from her phone. The sound is excellent for just a 2.0 channels.

Great receiver for bluetooth and vinyl

Also, the bluetooth works great! I've tried every adapter available for my old stereo and none of them even hold a candle to the reliability and quality of the signal I get to this device.

I only needed this for my backyard speakers . Bluetooth is a nice feature . The only reason I gave it 4 stars , I bought the floor model and the box said all components were in the box , well I get it home and the remote was missing . No biggy I ordered a replacement remote from the internet and it works fine .
