I.E., it didn't get connected, But the next team did great. It was the individual that sold us the unti that put down the wrond installion level; so listenting to the customer woudl have been a better option for him and then we wouldn't have had to wait another 24 hours to get it installed.

The setup was very easy. It seems to do a good job with 4K pass-through and the audio quality is good. A minor nit-pick I have is that whenever I switch from the TV/ARC input to another HDMI in, the receiver displays its Home menu, even though all the inputs are already in the right state. There seems to be no way to disable it so you have to make a redundant selection to dismiss it. Pretty annoying.

But it does a good job as a 5.1 home theater receiver that supports 4K. I picked it up on sale for $179 which I thought was a fantastic deal. My old Yamaha receiver is huge compared to this and I appreciate the smaller footprint of this device. I like the simple old school sleekness of it too. Pairs well with my Sony 950g and Sony 4k blu ray player.

Works Well But Read The Manual

And if you want to enable HDR pass through you have to go through a submenu that is impossible to find unless you read the fine print in the manual. I got lucky and found it. You have to switch the hdmi input from standard to enhanced for each input. It would be nice if it was either easier to find and only needed to be done once, or if HDR capability was detected and enabled automatically.
