Perfect for 5 speaker surround sound system. Has a lot of power

This had some nice settings and functions but because I could get no bass audio out of it I returned it. I went through the entire troubleshooting steps for the bass and the speaker was working but there was no signal going to the speaker even on the set-up functions. I don’t know if that meant it was a fault of the receiver with no output or some impedance issue with the speaker. However another brand of receiver did work with that same speaker so I have to assume it was something wrong with the receiver.

This receiver is a really good one. It performs very well for those looking for the most bang for the buck I would definitely consider this one. I'm pleased to say that I am very happy with my purchase.

Easy set up. Simple. Needed a replacement and this one is it.

This thing might be OK for home theatre in an apartment, but it is truly weak. Even with a great speaker system, this receiver doesn't pack enough power to wake a sleeping baby in the same room. Worse? Try playing music on it! It overheats within minutes, even on a free-air, open shelf. You could cook dinner on top of this thing! Overheat shutdown! This is consistent. Not death-metal, or rap, no, this was Classical music.

Great product. The high resolution audio and the 4K pass though makes a great difference in the quality compared to my old system. This model doesn’t include internet connectivity but it does a great job.

Price was great and it sounds great. Perfect option for me.

This receiver works well connecting everything with the living room television. The input displays can be renamed so you know what you are switching to when turning the knob - like ROKU, TV, PC, etc. One knob switches the inputs and one adjusts the volume.

Overall, an excellent unit at a good price. My only problems are that it sometimes doesn't communicate as it should with my Samsung equipment, and that it has no Bluetooth capability (although it does have an audio-out jack that can pair with an adapter).

I have it running a Bose theater system, sounds very crisp

Although this receiver is high on spec, and connects seamlessly with my Bravia TV, I'm not impressed. Sound is decent, but the unit HUMS. I mean the receiver itself emits a very audible 60 cycle hum whenever it's turned on. So, fine, just turn it up . Then we get into the embedded programming of Sony products. Arcane menu selections and sub menus. You cannot adjust anything on this unit easily. (I am an audio engineer!). I think I will return it.... Sad. Oh, and BB put it on sale the next day after my purchase!
