worked for 2 months, then problems keep coming

All of sudden, the sound output from receiver cut off after a few second TV was on. Sent to repair twice, the problem was not resolved, but the sound quality is bad when listen music from other sound source. SONY used to make great receiver, I have two of them. One is nearly 20 years old, still works.
