Great amperage for a budget

I have to crank it all the way past 30 before it sounds like a theater but my speakers are ancient history old so maybe that's the case.

Simple setup and excellent sound quality. I got it because it was the only brand/model that fit my console (less than 17"). The tight space had me worried about heat build up but that has not been a problem. I bought a top mounted fan that turns on after 88 degrees. It very seldom comes on.

For the price I am more than satisfied with this receiver. I have it hooked up to 4 bookshelf speakers and a powered subwoofer and the sound quality is great. Later I'm going to see if I can connect my Alexa to the receiver :)

Needing to replace speakers and rewired them so it’s taking a bit to actually enjoy this system. However, it was recommended and I’m hopeful that it will meet expectation.

Owned for 1 month when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I returned this to the store I bought it from Fairview heights IL still taking it out of my checking account thru progressive leasing the store did not inform them of my return progressive's investigation team is working on it but they don't have their phone number cannot reach anyone at the store I think someone who works there stole it or trying to get extra money for 1 item will not shop there again ever or recommend them either

Excellent receiver for the money.

The rest of my equipment is also Sony making setup super easy. It helped eliminate a good amount of clutter with the cables. Before it was a cable from each piece of equipment to the tv now it’s just one cable. Also the receiver has an accompanying microphone to help balance your speakers automatically which is awesome.

Good receiver, Fragile FM antenna connection

The side permanently attached to the stereo broke during initial setup. We didn't buy geek squad protection so we had to call Sony for warranty service, and they wouldn't cover it. We would have had to pay shipping to and from their location, it would have cost $150 just for them look at it, AND we'd have to pay for any repair parts so it wasn't worth the hassle. The receiver is great with other inputs, though, so we're giving it 4 stars. Just be very careful plugging in the FM antenna! And don't expect much help from Sony's warranty department.
