On the plus side, it does integrate well with my tv and is well controlled by my tv remote and works well with Apple TV and Sony Blueray. However the surround sound is mediocre and it took several attempts to balance the center channel and sub woofer. Sony needs to upgrade its software and an App would be nice.

Needed a receiver to connect to ceiling speakers

It does have more capability than I will probably use, but will explore options later. One thing was the ability or compatibility with my DIRECTV remote. Now can turn on Cable, sound, and TV with one remote.

Great Sound

We love the sound, but wish it had a built-in Bluetooth transmitter. We have a set of Sharper Image wireless speakers that we cannot use because the unit lacks an output for either 1/8" phono or RCA connectors.

It not only does everything I need, but is compatible with the Comcast remote which the prior one was not. Kudos to the Geek Squad for their timely and informative installation.

I'd still like to throw a subwoofer into the mix but it's a small space, for which a smallish set of speakers work fine. With a set of five matching speakers, the center has a 3/4" tweeter and two 4", and the others match with a single 4" and tweeter each, two on stands and the two surrounds in bookcases. It could handle my bigger speakers too, except for the two rear surrounds in our slightly larger home theater. The codecs are up to date for streaming audio and UHD, and a UHD disc player. I have a much older system plays SACD multi-channel and drives 7.1, but if it ever starts to go out, this will hold us until we bite the bullet and go for a beefy system with Atmos.

Great Receiver

It is working beautifully with my Television, Apple TV, blu-Ray player, and cable box. Attached to two large upright speakers and a subwoofer and no complaints yet.

Sound is good my onkyo went out second one audio issue. This fit the bill only problem I have with this receiver is the Bluetooth in which I can’t watch tv and listen to music at the same time.
