Sounds good. EQ options could be better.

Sound is great. However the menu options could be a lot better. Such as a faster option on the remote to adjust subwoofer or bass. But my biggest thing I don't like is that my previous Yamaha let me adjust I believe a 5 spectrum EQ individually for every single speaker. If this Sony had that, it would be perfect. The Sony should also have a USB in the front like Yamaha that reads the Iphone. I went Sony this time because of Dolby Vision.

Way overdue

So big of an upgrade to have a digital system. Able to get rid of a lot of work arounds and extra cables trying to keep the old one working. Should've done this years ago. Love it.

A lot for the money

After trying to set up speakers manually was forced to use “Easy Setup” for it to find the subwoofer. I bought open box and suspect it was returned because the first person gave up on setting it up. Again once set up quality sound for the money.

This is the third Sony receiver that I have purchased since I have put surround sound in my living room in 1998. The set up wants very straight forward and the 4k surround sound is so great that even my wife can tell the difference! I teetered back and fourth about making the purchase but I am so glad I did!

Great price, sounds great

Replacement for my Sony surround receiver that was about 17 yrs old that unfortunately blew the center channel. Remote is much smaller now. At first I was worried that it didn't have as many different sound settings (hall, live, game, movie, etc) as my old one, but discovered it does, just with fewer buttons.

Great receiver

I have my 4K blu ray player hooked up, my PS4 Pro and my switch hooked up to it. The receiver allows the HDR pass through of my pro which looks great. Having surround sound on my games is awesome. My LG TV has the HDMI ARC so when I watch Hulu it has surround sound as well. My LG remote works for my receiver so I don’t have a bunch of remotes to use which is very nice. So far I am loving this receiver and highly recommend it.
