Awesome sound but don't play it loud.

If you have a full setup like I have, front speakers, rear speakers, center speaker, along with an active sub...it doesn't do the trick. It cuts off after heating up. I'm using high gouge wire and banana plugs. If you like your music a little elevated as I do this amp doesn't kick.

Remote handles all the features. Runs nice and cool due to good ventilation. Sounds excellent through my ELAC speakers.

Great Entry Level Receiver

I bought this receiver mainly because it had the basic features I wanted along with the necessary dimensions to fit within the media console we own, so it's out of sight (by orders of my wife). It has some minor software quirks relating to communication with linked devices, but nothing overly detrimental to QoL. No wifi, but not a deal breaker at the moment. Miraculously, the unit manages to avoid overheating despite its cramped location, so hats off to Sony for that one.

They have slyly and ever so silently changed their rules on price guarantees. Used to be 30 days if they lowered their own prices. Now it is with in return period. 15 days on my purchase I found out after scouring their web site and chatting. The Sony I love. More compact, cooler and turns off with my tv. Sets it self up with mike in about a minute. Would buy Sony again, only not from BB.
