Posted .Hi Booo, Thank you for purchasing the Sony STRDH590 receiver. We're glad you're having an enjoyable experience with the unit. To turn down the bass level, please go to the Home Menu of the unit,
Select [Sound Effect] from the home menu.
Select [Bass] or [Treble].
Then Press up/down arrow to adjust the level, and then press ok.

If you watch a YouTube review it sounds horrible. I honestly don't see anything wrong with this receiver. It use to be cheaper but I think the supply chain issues and inflation drove it up to the new average price just like everything else. It receiver it receives a signal and amplifies. Paired it with 5.1 Klipsch setup from another website.
