Even being a total tech member they charge you $120 to diagnose the issue. After driving deep on the internet for a solution. Im finding that its got a shorted circut on the video board for a volage regulator. I owned the previous model of this system for over 13 years!! I only upgraded so i could run 4K. They just dont make em like they used to. Im saddened greatly at the craftsmanship with Sony on this model. Im not fixing this system. Ill sell it for parts and buy a different brand. Do yourself a favor and skip this “sale”.

The first one we bought only had 2 channels and didnt come with a precut for his Sub/ Bass hook ups, so we returned it for this one and he is happy with this one The remote works with the new Sony DVD player I bought him as well. Be aware that it comes with no cables or hdmi cable, you need to purchase all of those separate so when he opened it he couldn't hook it up, we had to make another trip back to the store for those items.

Not enough power

The only reason for the one star is the fact that it seems like it would power a small speaker setup well. I have Sony floor standing speakers and needed to put the volume up to 45-50 to even get it to sound somewhat audible. I previously had a Sony receiver that powered my speakers perfectly at 15-25. Just wanted the hdmi/Bluetooth upgrades. Ended up returning this one and getting a denon, totally worth the upgrade sound is terrific.
