Replaced much older Sony AVR
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought new TV and needed to upgrade--old Sony AVR didn't even have HDMI (but still worked and sounded great). Stayed with Sony as previous AVR was solid and I wanted to use the original speakers. This is a low to mid-range AVR--nothing more, nothing less. It functions adequately and as with all Sony AVRs you must wait out the slight "boot up" period after turning it on. It has turned off once by itself, but no continuing problems as of yet. Sonys get hot--they must have plenty of "breathing room."

Sounf is great! The audio setup with the microphone resulted in a well balanced sound everywhere!

This item went on sale a few days after my purchase. I was able to use the BBY app and text message customer service to be a price match which saved me from waiting on the phone.

Only thing is that it doesn't support the voltage range 110-220V. I would have loved the product if it had a wider voltage range making it geo-friendly.
