This does not negate such an amazing sounding receiver though and seems to bring your Livingroom to life all around you. Overall this is perfect if your not looking for the best but still want amazing quality.

Decent Entry Level

My old reciever (also a sony) started loosing channels so I got this as a stop gap. It works the setup is easy, and it does everything I need it to do. I was concerned about the wattage per channel, most speakers have a 8 ohm impedance (which is what the reciever is expecting), the Martin Logans I paired it with has a lower impedance 4 to 6 ohms which can boost the apparent wattage. I haven't noticed any issues other then just having to keep the volume down. Not sure if it is effecting the sound quality or not, I will only know that when I upgrade it later on. As an entry level device I can recommend it, but if your looking to pair it with quality audio you'll be better off I feel looking at something from Denon.

Owned for 1 month when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great bang for your buck expecially if you get it on sale at $200 it's a great 5.1 system I paired it with some Klipsch speakers that were also on sale for $200 and that makes a hell of a set for $400 a lot better than Soundbars unless you're going to pay a lot of money for the sound bar because getting positional audio and we're always better than relying on bouncing things off the wall

Well worth the money and time getting used to it

The set up is quite a bit different than my other 10 year old Sony I replaced. Everything (TV, blu-ray, Roku) connects into it and you control them via the receiver. It took me a few days to get used to it but I love it now and highly recommend it. I have more control over the sound and other electronics. A good value too.

Perfect Entry Level Receiver

The inputs switch automatically when I bounce between the devices and the volume is controlled with my TV remote. I am actually able to use my TV remote to control everything. Setup was super simple. Just put the mic at primary ear level and it does everything for you. I recommend this to everyone

||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.i brought this to replace my old receiver and was surprised by the sound quality...just great sound! i have a 5.1 system and if you are a novice you have a mic system you can set and use to balance the sound of each speaker.a pro like me the sony has an easy manual setup where you can balance each speaker and control the volume.one downside is no dolby atmos but not needed if you have a 5.1 system the dolby digital is fine.if you use a soundbar or 2 speaker setup it even has a front surround setting.

This unit have enough power and easy to setup

I pair this with BOSE Acoustimass 10 Series IV. It sound perfectly and power of Sony 725W is definitely enough to drive these speakers. My family room is fairly large enough in a single family home. I also like the low profile of this unit. Glad that I make the good choice after months of research.

Posted .Hi TophTurner, Great! We're very happy you like the solid built quality of the unit. With regards to placement of the receiver, please make sure to place the receiver in a location with adequate ventilation to prevent heat buildup and prolong the life of the receiver.
To ensure you're getting the best Bluetooth connection, please follow the guidelines and steps below:
-The receiver and the BLUETOOTH device
are too far apart.
-If there are obstructions between the
receiver and your BLUETOOTH device,
remove these or move the receiver
and/or device avoid them.
-Erase the pairing registration information
of the BLUETOOTH device on the
BLUETOOTH device and perform the
pairing operation again.
