Perfect receiver for a Sony tv

It works perfectly with minimal configuration. One remote operation. It turns on and off automatically with the tv and volume is controlled by the tv remote. This was an open box item in excellent condition. Very satisfied.

The setting options are at first daunting and then become crystal clear, sensible, and enjoyable to manipulate. Not impressed with how best buy shipped to my house. Had I not been home when the package showed up I would have had a box sitting outside advertising what it was. They sent in manufacturers box not some Nondescript box. Again I am glad I was home when it showed or who know what porch pirate may have ended up with it.

It still works great, but it doesn't have HDMI passthrough, and my Samsung smart TV only has two HDMI ports and I was tired of switching out inputs. My favorite part about upgrading to something 20 years newer is the automatic setup with the included calibration mic. My speakers have never sounded better! Excellent mid-range option, fulfills my need for a simple 5.2 surround sound experience.

Perfect inexpensive AV Receiver

Bought to replace a downstairs receiver that had problems. Sounds great on my "old" 5.1 system Set up very easy, worked right away. ARC was essential and it had that feature. Bluetooth makes it simple to play music from my phone or tablet through the surround system. Very impressed with this unit for the money!

Great entry level 4k receiver so far

Took a star for very minor issues - for some reason the streaming device grabs the output at start, and getting the speakers set correctly for the different signal types was a little annoying (the menu could be clearer). Otherwise great for our needs - a couple of gaming consoles, a streaming device, and a couple of separate audio connections. When the device comes on, there is a click loud enough to scare the dog.
