East to Set Up

This receiver was very easy to set up and easy to work for my mother in law. She loves it and is able to listen to the football games.

Good receiver but....

The problem i had with this receiver is it lacks midrange. The unit plays loud, but you always feel like there is something missing. Returned and bought on Onkyo instead.

Great product

This was very easy to set up and it it works well. It only has a couple of ports, but that's all I need for my setup.

I only wish it had an equalizer function. The preset for the speakers need to be tweaked for the voice mode.

Handles my Sony subwoofer so much better. Best receiver out there for the price, can't go wrong with this one.

Perfect tuner on a budget!

I wasn't looking for huge sound, just something inexpensive but reliable to power them. Well, I definitely got that and more! This tuner is simple, easy to set up and use, and packs a good punch! Highly recommended.

We didn't need anything too fancy, just something to connect our speakers to and our cable/apple tv/xbox so we could just run 1 cord to TV instead of 3. It was fairly easy to set but after about 2 months it randomly shuts off, which is ridiculously annoying. Sometimes it will go a few days, sometimes it will shut off every 20 minutes. It's in an TV stand (not fully enclosed), so it shouldn't be over heating. Tried resetting it multiple times to no avail and customer support calls were useless. Overall pretty disappointed and will likely choose a different brand when we get another one for the basement.

Wanted to replace one of my higher end 10 year old receivers that failed. Was curious what an inexpensive amp could offer. The hook up and settings were very straightforward and easy. The settings menu could be better. Maybe in future firmware updates. The sound is suited for small set-ups. Gaming or mini home theater, stereo listening etc. My main concern was no body to the sound profile on larger speakers. The amp is very bright sounding. Made many adjustments(many) and could not even come close to other receivers I have owned.Just some personal thoughts on the overall sound. For the money it has many great features. For the right set-up and bargain price it gets the job done. For high end features, sound and home theater impact not so much.

Works fine for what it is

Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.The job of amplifying an audio signal is pretty basic electronics-wise, so receivers differentiate themselves on features. The features I wanted: Low price, 5.2 channels, takes 4k hdmi signal, FM radio, bluetooth This receiver met those requirements. I didn't realize that the power button on the receiver would turn on and off the TV via HDMI, which is nice. Sufficient power output to drive my speakers. A nice selection of HDMI inputs, as well. Don't like: The included FM antenna is not great (it is just a single pole wire), and the interface sony has used is non-standard. If I wanted to use a better antenna, I would have to hack something together. It comes with a microphone for some kind of nonsense adjustment I'll never use. I'm sure there are other nonsense equalizer modes that I'll never use also.
